neil Philippines, 23 Dec 2016i wonder why Nokia-related news/articles generate numerous comments in this site.Everybody loves Nokia. :)
nokia has a lot of technology patents, while apple has many design patents. To me this explains which one of them is truly a valuable company. Shame on apple.
i wonder why Nokia-related news/articles generate numerous comments in this site.
From this 2011 article: "Apple to pay Nokia big settlement plus royalties in patent dispute":
"The case (Nokia-Apple) settled on Tuesday was filed in 2009 by Nokia, which said it had filed a patent 10 years ago (1999) that covered the use of touchscreen technology in phones.
Ironically, announcing the iPhone in 2007, Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive, said of the multi-touch screen interface: "Boy, have we patented it!", in a warning to would-be rivals."
Haha, Apple sued Samsung for stupid things like the rounded corners of smartphones, and now almost every smartphone, for every manufacturer, has rounded corners. Now it is the time that Apple learn a lesson from Nokia, because Nokia made smartphones before Apple.
Tom, 21 Dec 2016Question. Is anyone here above the age of 12? no, I bet none.
But 12 year-old minded people? There's a lot.
whats this, racking up captial money thru suing other mobile company, first apple then whos next samsung, google???
I don't think it could work. Apple will ignore every court that isn't American plus its verdict and every American court will ignore patents and facts in order to make an American company happy.
SJM32, 22 Dec 2016I agree with you for the most part & I have read today that Apple had a deal with Nokia wi... moreMeans nokia filled case against apple for 32 patents is fake release just for people to fight???????
Anonymous, 22 Dec 2016how can you take sides when the information inst out yet to show exactly what the patents are ... moreI agree with you for the most part & I have read today that Apple had a deal with Nokia with regards to patents Nokia come up & Apple can use them that runs out soon but I am not aware of anything that Apple has 'borrowed'.
how can you take sides when the information inst out yet to show exactly what the patents are for.
you cant argue who stole what if you don't know the facts (which are hidden in the patents and the lawsuits they haven't shown us).
all the comments here are pure fanboy.
although saying that most here already know apple 'borrow' technology and claim it as their own.
i'm interested to see how many Nokia win, and how many are dismissed.
