> In reply to Nagin @ 2011-01-21 18:45 from ID3C - click to readwho says apple has the best designs in the entire mobile industry? all they are creating from the last few years are black and white boxes with a logo of a half eaten apple on the back and a round button below the screen. the cameras are like useless dots. they dont give a damn to it. and now that they started losing market share, they've created a better dot, and another one near it to accompany in "low light shooting".

in fact, no mobile phone manufacturer is creating innovative designs in mobile phones. samsung are sticking with their crap, the nokia with theirs. the latest nokias x-301 and others are a bit different, thats all. its sony ericsson thats producing a good innovative design. arcs and human curvatures are some things not thought about before.

mind it, i am not a se fanboy. the difference shows, thats all

LOL! I'm by no means an iCrap fanboi. I was trying to exaggerate iSteve iJobs position using sarcasm, but that failed big time since no one got it. iSuck at sarcasm :o)

I think HTC want to keep the Desire design with brownish/bronze color scheme, so you easily can distinguish an HTC phone from other brands. The iCrap folks can't complain about it being a copy of an iFone but they quickly find something else to bitch about.

I still like that Nexus One look the top left one has. I'm sure that's a Desire 2. As long as HTC raises RAM, internal memory, use a dual-core CPU, and include a 8MP+ Camera, I'll defineatly buy that phone. Although I'm dissapointed that HTC still hasn't announced anything with a dual-core. If not, I'm going with the Moto Atrix.

Built quality is more important than design.

I think most people forget, one thing that makes htc phones stand out in the competition. Its not about their design (lets face it, in this area SE is more advaced), its all about their UI and user experience :D

To all the morons who are constantly whining about similarity in designs, we're currently in an age where good phones are full-touch. In other words, the screen needs to be big. How do you achieve this? By essentially making the entire front of the phone the screen. After this, what else can you possibly do? Nothing. So for everybody complaining that phones look the same, the fact is that WHEN A PHONE IS FULL TOUCH SCREEN, THERE'S NOT A LOT OF VARIATION THAT WOULD BE EVEN POSSIBLE. HTC phones are known for their top build quality, and once the materialistic morons can get over the fact that their phones aren't going to look terribly different, they're infinitely more solid and are significantly better-engineered than any other phone out there, including the iCrap (considering the way their engineers designed their antennas, there's not much praise, if any, that could be given to Apple).

What are people thinking with all these phones that have the same design? Yes they all look the same but as someone pointed out there''s not much you can do when the screen is mostly the phone. Also the iPhone is just the same. Only they have 3 phones that look the same and not 50 so it's not as noticeable.
