Anonymous, 13 Jan 2017And see it defect like s5 fingersprint scanner or worse blown... No thanks..I didn't say anything about rushing a product just don't take so damn long to release a redundant one like Sony does.
Anonymous, 13 Jan 2017you better keep Loving Lenovo. They will provide you a lot more lcd phoneS. Lol.Lenovo or Qnovo, which is great, save your time on trolling me, Qnovo is best battery safety solution, cheap brands still no improve from battery safety, only Sony make the right decision.

Its candy without c... moreIt really provides a lot of picture quality benefits, however, there are drawbacks. The way Sony/Samsung mainly reduces the burn in is pixel frameskips which is unnoticable to the human eye but it increases the lifespan significantly and reduces burn-in chance. As the brightness of each pixel decreases, the current supplied to each pixel is increased proportionally so that the brightness takes much longer to decay.

Mobile is another story, because of people buying new devices every year or two.
Dont know why its a trend tho
Tann Hauser, 13 Jan 2017About 80% of global screen market against some 20% oled? What dead dream do you live in?OLED is less than 15%, more like OLED has a very long way to go before giving LCD some real competition.

Anonymous, 12 Jan 2017LCD is too old tech to go on. Compared to oled its far inferior , all flag ships will go this ... moreOh you are way too delusional.
Lcd hdr 4k TVs and monitors are top flags right now. Even for LG, THE oled maker.
Mobile screens are sth entirely different, oleds are prefered by some for gimmicks like edge screens and stuff, but have their serious shortcomings, visual strain and longeivity being one of most annoying.
Mobile lcds have their shortcomings also but indeed a lot of advantages over oled from users perspective.
There will always be people who prefer lcd, and those who prefer oled.

Sony is but a mere ant in the smartphone world and Samsung isn't losing any sleep over them. You give this company way too much credit.

Compared to oled its far inferior , all flag ships will go this ... moreIt's the image rendering pwoer that will settle everything, and Sony's display software is way superior to Samsung's, and Samsung can't even make full use of the superior OLED display. If the XZ's LCD can easily compete with OLEDs, just imagine what will happen if it has OLED (which will happen next year), definitely a disaster for Samsung
Anonymous, 12 Jan 2017LCD is too old tech to go on. Compared to oled its far inferior , all flag ships will go this ... moreLCD is not old, OLED isn't a new tech either. Between this two display choose your favorite one. I will say I love IPS more than OLED, OLED is not a comfortable display for reading but good in video, I don't play video on such small screen, furthermore Xperia also have very vivid color and high contrast on playing video. Whatever, the next Xperia's OLED will be solve all the Samsung lacking.
Well OLED is cool but that is not Sony's future because CLEDIS is the future for Sony and they have started to put in the techno conventions like CES and others in 2017.
Sony is entering the OLED because it doesn't want to get out of the business and lose that's why it is entering OLED and Sony knows that a lot of people want the company to enter the OLED market with their phones and TVs and same goes with Apple because her and Oculus bought the Micro-LED companies. Micro-LEDs are coming in the market 2-4 years and until then OLED will rule plus Micro-LED layed the foundation of Sony's CLEDIS and Samsung's QLED
