Anonymous, 25 Feb 2011anything more than rs 20k it is very costly, outdated software, outdated processor, outdated camera!ya its below 20k, its just 19500 Rs. through FLIPCART in advance booking...
Mind you, the I9003 Galaxy SL is not the Galaxy S successor - that one should be announced on the 13th February. I CANNOT WAIT!
Simon, 04 Feb 2011That's not true at all. Super Amoled is much more energy efficient than any LCD. Sure it would... moreactually u have it all backwards, if u look at the wattage ready reports ull see that lcd uses less power overall.. where oled screens use less power when set to clear white and full brightness..
Anonymous, 03 Feb 2011LCD screen?? it means, it will consume more battery power... that's it!And look slightly worse.

"...the CPU, which is a 1GHz TI OMAP 3630 instead of a Hummingbird CPU".
I9000 - Hummingbird = ARM Cortex-A8 + PowerVR SGX 540
I9003 - TI OMAP 3630 = ARM Cortex-A8 + PowerVR SGX 530
So this is no successor at all but a step down in (at least gaming) performance.

DJScope, 03 Feb 2011I had a feeling that everyone would drop oled for lcd.. its all due to battery usage... my str... moreThat's not true at all. Super Amoled is much more energy efficient than any LCD. Sure it would consume a bit more power while displaying a very bright, white image but in most real life situations it uses much less energy.
Also as a display technology it's superior to LCD in almost every major aspect.
About the i9003 I think that it's a very not nice aspect - cutting the superior GPU and S-Amoled panel makes it mediocre. If the price is right (lower-mid end) it would be good but I doubt that.
