An Atrix 4G competitor, I see!
come on Nokia, stop shipping symbian or atleast spend millions on re-programming it. It's old fashioned and boring, probably for old people.
Anonymous, 03 Feb 2011Nokia is preparing for one other shot in their own fut, just like they did with maemo device! ... moreReal power users make full use of the hardware and OS, not relying on apps only (n900 anyone?)
The specs on the german page indicate it's got an ethernet port. If that's the case then it's no smartphone, no Nokia N9.
The Specs don't make sense FWVGA (854x480) says phone.
But it also lists Gigabit Ethernet which means netbook, and Bluetooth 2.1 is a step backwards, plus a 1.6Ghz processor? and Intel HD Graphics?
It's a Development Platform... Nothing to see here.
(At the very least it's not a Nokia)

I mean who will be interested on device with new OS, where everything has to start from the beginning no software to enjoy it at all, and wot do you really need that all MHz's if devise looks ugly like that... ah i forgot, they meant for kids, the kids made like that yeah sure... who else, when there is symbian, android, bberry and aplle with lot of free software to enjoy the time.
These straws aren't going to grasp themselves.
High spec also no use if the os sucks.
If the specifications Of Nokia N9 r going to be true then only almighty can save the rest of the smartphones.
It's probably just your standard NetBook running a 1.6GHz Atom processor. That spec-sheet is basically every NetBook on the market right now. Likely that's a dev/test platform they've been writing bugs against.
MeeGo! MeeGo! MeeGo! MeeGo! I can't wait to mee Nokia N9 & the MeeGo Os...
guys seriously you believe that nokia will put a procesor at 1.6 in a mobile phone ?? how not you know nokias policies this 1.6 proccesor may be in a tablet... pls dont give incorect information to the web cause a lot of people looks around about info on meego
that has to be the meego tablet
Why it has to be so ugly? :-(
Kives, 02 Feb 2011Don't wanna be the party spoiler, but those bug reports are from Nokia Booklet 3G with MeeGo-O... moreWell, i just looked at one little detail in these specs:
Video
- Graphics Memory: 512MB
- HDMI
- Display: 480 x 854 Pixel
There's no way they would put such a resolution on a netbook/notebook.
Don't wanna be the party spoiler, but those bug reports are from Nokia Booklet 3G with MeeGo-OS installed.
Compare the specs and see.
Anonymous, 02 Feb 2011Hmm! Possibly an intel atom Medfield SOC 1.6ghz chip processor. Much better than Moorestone SO... moreSorry! Moorestown processor not Moorestone. My bad guys.....
[deleted post]"I also thought the reason why all Nokia S^3 devices used nHD was to prevent fragmentations that Nokia fanboys keep crying about with Android?"
What made you think that? You're probably grasping for straws. You're here for an argument. I hope they don't give you one...
[deleted post]They talked about that on S^3. Isn't this a MeeGo device, with an operating system that is different than S^3? Also, apps can scale and be ported easily when using the Qt framework. The framework is compiled in the builds of S^ and MeeGo.
