LRoss, 23 Jan 2017Samsung please go die in a fire. Oh wait you already did muhahahahaha Srsly tho, 2015 SoC? ... moreAt least they have experienced dying. Exploded. Fire. Their CEO is in scandal. Their companies in trouble. I still find it amusing they manage to make sales in this situation.
Well I guess I'm holding on to my Nexus 7(2013).
Still works like a charm.
Simon, 23 Jan 2017I would never buy an iPhone, but for simple Tablets I believe the iPad really is the best deal... moreThat's only because Android OEMs got directive from Google to not produce top end tablets lest they compete with their chrombooks. So we're stuck with old specs.
Back in 2013 thought I've bought my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 tablet from Samsung. It smoked iPad Air and still smokes most iPads (only iPad pro kinda comes close).
So it's kinda untrue that iPad is the best tablet, androids merely stopped competing, so they let an 180m unit market to Apple (and Microsoft in the future) ... they're i-diots.
Tondern, 23 Jan 2017I was really hoping they would decide to go with an only one year old chip. But it had to be t... morem8, G Pad 8.3 is a beast.
Get Android 7.1.1 custom rom, I have cyanogen, but maybe you can already get LineageOS.
It works Fab dude
Modest Mind, 23 Jan 2017And for this inferior processor Samsung is going to ask € 500,-?Before tax xD
Samsung please go die in a fire. Oh wait you already did muhahahahaha
Srsly tho, 2015 SoC? WTF?
Why not at least GS7 SoC? Why????????
Too much old SoC in stock maybe?
I would never buy an iPhone, but for simple Tablets I believe the iPad really is the best deal. It's probably the most reasonable offer from Apple in general.
So a new tablet with a SoC of 2 generations ago... and they wonder why the tablet market is stagnant.
This is crap I been use all Samsung tablet but why slow internet, Facebook and youtube make slow at 10minute
Exynos 7420!!! I am getting mixed feelings about this....
This chipset is 2 years old and these specs won't blow your mind even if it was released in 2015. But on the bright side, Exynos 7420 is definitely no slouch and it's one of the best for efficiency. Price this right, put in a large battery, give it similar specs to Tab S, and we have a winner in our hands!
I seriously can't grasp what on Earth is Samsung thinking.. WHY THEY REFUSE PUT A GOOD CHIP IN THEIR TABLETS?!?
If there was a proper Note tablet successor with high end components, I would buy it !
And for this inferior processor Samsung is going to ask € 500,-?
I was really hoping they would decide to go with an only one year old chip. But it had to be the two-year old 7420 which is sitting in my S6 that I'm soon to replace. There's hardly any performance gain over the Snapdragon 652 from last year, if any. It's like the companies have agreed on killing off the Android tablet market. I'm still looking to replace my laggy and aging G Pad 8.3 from 2013, I just have to find the right product with reasonably good specs.
So do you hear, Samsung, LG, etc.? We're still out here, people who're looking for a high-end Android tablet.
