now it's clear if you can read between the lines. Nokia is joining Android bandwagon. And will have WP7 phones as well.
Anonymous, 10 Feb 2011hi. Google just insulted the rumored nokia-msft alliance so NO ANDROID NOKIA. good riddance. ... moreum there is Qt you know that's all they need to use all the iOS and android apps on symbian/meego/maemo
AnonD-1216, 10 Feb 2011do you really think that microsoft is unable to add some simple functions. MS is very strong i... moreif MS was strong with that they would have made a better desktopOS ....win7 fails i use ubuntu linux and it craps in windows face the ONLY thing windows has over linux is gaming
but that's not problem i'm just gonna use VM and boot windows on desktop
other then that ..nothing
ubuntu is LoVEY and fast as hell
1/4 the RAM
1/4 CPU power
easier to manage
easier on the eye
and performs like a beast
AnonD-171, 10 Feb 2011how am i blindSimple, by assuming that you think you know more than the CEO of the company, when you ain't even a Nokia staff to start with. If you claim that he is blind, you are definately worse off: You actually think you know Nokia better than the CEO do, don't you?
AnonD-1124, 10 Feb 2011Actually, no.the main reasons for symbians success in developing nations is that you don't hav... morein android you DONT have to hack apps because they are already FREE. that too much better quality and quantity of apps than in symbian.
also android has much better usability, integration, user interface.. etc so i dont see any reason why android in nokia wont be prefered in developing countries.
AnonD-291, 10 Feb 2011bloomberg says that Nokia Is in final stages of talks with Microsoft. I wonder how a Nokia wp7... moredo you really think that microsoft is unable to add some simple functions. MS is very strong in programming, next updates will add all we need. Just remember how powerful winmobile was. This is matter of time...

Hope this way we get a reliable Harware wit... moreoh, btw people, this memo seems to come from Elop's Q4 speech and was taken out of context.
Till the day of the even, I say don't jump into conclusions YET.

AnonD-112, 10 Feb 2011You feel so proud of yourself downloading illegal apps?
Such an Android User. This is exactly... moreAnd even now over 70% of the apps on Android Market are FREE of charge. My wife's Android phone enjoys officially FREE Angry Birds.
If you don't believe so, suggest you go down to one of the electronics shop and click on "Market" and see how many apps are OFFICIALLY FREE!
AnonD-112, 10 Feb 2011You feel so proud of yourself downloading illegal apps?
Such an Android User. This is exactly... moreGuess you never used an Android phone.
When I first got my Android phone last Feb, where I live the official Android Market has nothing but OFFICIALLY FREE apps! Only til last Oct we began to have paid apps as Google reached the deal with the network service providers.
And I can go to Android Market via wifi FREE of charge as well.
AnonD-1216, 10 Feb 2011you`re absolutely right! Why didn`t he mention such brig markets as China and India. Not good ... moreMaybe even the CEO knows deep down, yes, currently there are many almighty brand users in India and China. Though likely their next phone will NOT be from the almighty brand....
A colleague of mine in China makes about US$400 per month but she is saving every cent possible to buy the next iphone....
I hope Nokia will make me keep my usual use of their products tomorrow. If Nokia fails tomorrow, I'm probably off to Samsung. Or maybe I'll get a n N8 as a farewell gift to Nokia's bad performance over the last few years.
Nokia has been making the best devices period. However lately they were lost in being loyal to Symbian OS. I think a perfect match will be Nokia + Android. I dream of a day when I will buy a device with t his combo.
nokia should give back the full features for their symbian phone. for example autofocus, stereo speaker..this is something people want..
I can see Nokia joining Andriod, WP7 ecosystem.
Hope this way we get a reliable Harware with evolving Andriod!!

Such an Android User. This is exactly why people are stopping from making apps, cause people like you share it for free....
Symbian is still no.2. It’s great to be in 2nd position. Elop should be watching that racing car movie “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006)”.
In the movie Ricky Bobby comes second, thinks coming first is the only thing that matters, breakdowns and imagines he’s on fire. Same with Elop, Symbian comes second and he imagines the platforms on fire.
Elop looks like Ricky Bobby only 15yrs older.
