this is even worse that it was before...
Only clean android is the way to go...
(Moto, Nexus, Pixel, Oneplus etc...)
Anonymous, 16 Feb 2017Good luck in trying to use the food mode when your phone is bootlooping. That is as annoying as the Note 7 jokes.
zodiacfml, 17 Feb 2017that square multi-tasking thing and UI seems interesting. It is but it seems like Samsung's multi-window feature or Androids built-in split screen feature but on automatic mode or something.
TechGirl90, 16 Feb 2017SMH there can't be one article focusing on a OEM without someone in the comments mentioning a ... morethe business world is a competition, and all these companies show it everyday in the commercials when they claim to be better than their competitors
ZloiYuri, 16 Feb 2017Correct me, but doesn't 18:9=2:1? And yes, food mode is ridiculousYes, but they probably use 18:9 in order to be easily comparable to existing 16:9 screens.
Anonymous, 16 Feb 2017Did you know? LG's camera app is so useless that you can't even change the resolution of photo... moreIt's not useless. LG makes the best camera app. I used it on my G4 and now on my G5. They do need to add resolutions though, though I wouldn't use it as I only shoot full resolution and crop if I need to later.
I am wondering if the G5 will get part of that new UI and I wonder how it will be.
If the G6 doesn't have a better camera sensor then truly the G5 is a much better phone (removable battery, IR blaster, SD card).
I hope we get that dialer though as the one on the G5 is ugly.
It is good to see at least there is an phone maker willing to make an effort in improving their UI.
Is it right, haters?

This article is about LG teasing us with their UX 6.0 interface, not about LG wishing they can sell more than Samsung. -_-
2:1 screen is better for multitasking does make sense. I hope LG will polish their UI a bit more this time. For starters, make the app drawer default. And please remove that lame, annoying, stretching feature when you pull the UX beyond it's limit.
consumersmartphone, 16 Feb 2017LG team gone crazy after they lose first batch of SD835 for G6 lol. FOOD MODE, really?Food mode is there on many camera's. But I agree it's not something to be touted as an achievement.
consumersmartphone, 16 Feb 2017LG team gone crazy after they lose first batch of SD835 for G6 lol. FOOD MODE, really? The Galaxy S6/S7 also had Food Mode and no one bats an eye.
The LG G6 has Food Mode and everyone loses their minds.

matt00112233, 16 Feb 2017LG wishes they sell like samsung, Apple wishes they had samsung technology and Samsung wishes ... moreIn this situation the worst thing is Apple will be using Samsung OLED displays. When you think that you are the best, God makes you such a joke that you need your biggest enemy's technology to fight against him. BUT, we know an old word, a master never tells his student all the tricks! ;)
LG has his own way and I can't see any single flagship which looks like a Samsung or iPhone.
IMHO, even LG uses OLED and its won processors in its phones, LG can't catch Samsung. It is too late.
Did you know? LG's camera app is so useless that you can't even change the resolution of photos and videos. You are forced to take photos at the full resolution, and you can't record videos in resolution smaller than HD.
Good luck in trying to use the food mode when your phone is bootlooping.
So they bring what already is there in android 7? Only thing special is the opportunity to have the camera next to the image you just took......this will deep not bring them back into the game. They need to start innovating instead of just looking at others.....
