VaLantiss, 20 Feb 2017image rentetion??What's "rentetion"?
My V20 is only 3-month old. I'm confirming that there are cases of image retention on the V20's screen, besides the light bleed. Tolerable con but still disappointing. I hate iPhones and their restrictions but the build quality of Apple may just really justify their phones' pricing.
VaLantiss, 20 Feb 2017image rentetion??None on my v20. Though i've seen a fair share of AMOLED samsungs have burn in and image retention (note 4, Samsung S5)
monsterduc1000, 18 Feb 2017No Boot-loop for me on my G5 :)image rentetion??
Similar article stated g6 will have 6gb ram but it turns out it may have 4gb. Don't trust their 'suggestion'.
Sealed battery is the mysterious feature.
Because people bought your phones due to having removable batteries, right LG?
Keyaki, 17 Feb 2017Hope boot loop doesn't count as 'mysterious features'.No Boot-loop for me on my G5 :)
I own v20 for couple of days now. I love it, it's like no other phone. This make me feel so special. I had s7edge (march through august(sold it in august I needed the cash)). Def getting v30 if s8 is gonna be too girly in design department as all rumours and leaks do report this.
Looking at how LG has treated the UK market in the last couple of years:
* LG G4 Bootloader issue, a few friends of mine spent over 60 days before LG fixed their devices. WTF
* Did NOT release V10
* Messed up launch of the LG G5, some of the supposedly "modular" accessories you simply could not purchase here, even if they were promoted.
* Did NOT release the V20. IN SPITE of the Note7 battery issue.
* They do not reply on Twitter. The main manufacturers have customer service reps.
So with those glaring omissions, I will have to say if you're a UK consumer - to steer clear of LG moving forward. Such a shame really, they had the potential to gain on Samsung late last year and instead they just twiddled their thumbs.
Of course this is just in the UK. Your mileage may vary depending on which territory you're based in.
kakouille, 17 Feb 2017Dont worry nobody buys lg
https://www.engadget.com/2017/01/25/lg-wont-share-its-disappointing... moreYou link to Engadget, who by and large are a former technology blog reduced to crying about Trump all day.
Sincerely never post again.
"V30 won't have a secondary display - it's being said that the ticker will be replaced with something even better." Kinda pointless to get a V30 now isn't it.
I think it's pretty obvious...
LG Releases G6 before Galaxy S8, and we all know that S8 is the first one to get SD835, thus G6 will have SD820 variant.
Galaxy S8 release in May
LG V30 release in September, by which point the initial rush for S8's will be done and thus SD835 will be available for other manufacturers.
I've got a working but water damaged G5. My new power button arrives tomorrow, should be a 15 minute fix, but my finger is hovering over the 'buy it now' button on a Xiaomi Mi Mix on ebay £650......decisions😞
If their displays looked like Samsung id actually buy their phones over galaxies
I continue to believe that LG intends to position the G6 series as a fashion phone to compete with Samsung in the Verizon store while the true flagship will be the V series.
