Oh man, such a disgrace, if that concept on internet of the new 3310 with touchscreen would have been true..it woulld have been much-much better
They had to ruin it by adding a camera... Would have been far better not to add a 2 mp one.
AnonD-264569, 26 Feb 2017There are virtually no networks that doesn't still support 2G. What are you talking about?Have you heard about the 'tiny' company called AT&T ?

AnonD-264569, 26 Feb 2017Since when Denmark doesn't have a regular GSM network? You must have been mistaking something ... moreWell except at least two, that is 3 and their subsidiary Oister.
(Though they do handle roaming to other nets on 2G as needed)
Oh my goodness, love its design, but what the heck don't you just include 3G on it? 2G is going to disappear in Australia very soon. How can I use it here? Hate you Nokia!!!
Ewwwww, what a crappy redesign...
It's much more like the incarnation of 6600..: :)
Retro or not this should have been 3g, unless their planning a 3310 plus lol
Yep the name is back but it is all there is.
Because its not produced by Finish anymore means that materials, build quality is different and I hate it looks!
50 is a good price for a failure.
I lovet the brand having almost every nokia model since 3210 (apart from comunicator) and I am sorry thst Nokia didn't carry on. have you seen their concepts? Xiaomi mix's screen 7-8 years ago and so on...
its shame that something that beautiful turned so ugly.
R.I.P Finish Nokias :/
will try one of these new 3310 as I still use many old Nokia Feature phones as backup for calls/Texts, and 2G is not going away in UK for many years as even smart phones with 3/4G often switch to GSM 2G in bad signal areas and there are many in UK, and it seems there are other uses for GSM such as Electricity smart meters etc, other countries may regret closing GSM 2G down.
If the faceplate and back aren't changeable it's not worthy of the name.
Eske Rahn, 26 Feb 2017Isn't it only Oister/3 that are off the 2G? That said, yeah it seems silly in 2017, as 2G is ... moreThere are virtually no networks that doesn't still support 2G. What are you talking about?
Zenodroid, 26 Feb 2017And only on gsm. So most sim cards in Denmark can't be used in that phone. Since when Denmark doesn't have a regular GSM network? You must have been mistaking something - I just looked at all major Denmark carrier (TDC, 3, Telia, Telenor) websites, and all of them support GSM 900/1800Mhz.
Those who buy this thing, and I don't expect a whole lot would, will use it as a toy to give their kids who always want to play with their smartphones. There may also be some older buyers who need a basic phone who might be interested (though even the cheapest smartphone has a larger screen, which is easier to use for older buyers). That's about it!
Looks so bad. I could design it better than these clowns..
Zenodroid, 26 Feb 2017Gsm, yeah. But most sim cards are usim or 3g sim cards, so it won't work in a phone without 3g... moreIsn't it only Oister/3 that are off the 2G?
That said, yeah it seems silly in 2017, as 2G is being phased out around different nets in the world.
But as ugly as it is with European eyes, not many Danes are going to buy it anyway I guess - even as a spare device.
Marc Aurel, 26 Feb 2017The design is spot on. I don't know what people were expecting, a direct copy of the original?... moreI think ot does have interchangeable faces
bang
This reminds me of VW 'relaunching' the Beetle. Some similarities in the shape but otherwise very little in common with the original.
Very nice looking cellphone 9/10 and exactly right for the basic needs for a cell.
