shame its so big, galaxy s series shouldnt go over 5.5, for that there is Note series :/
whats up with the rounded corners
Am I the only one thinking this looks disproportionate, bezelless or not it's too tall, and it'll be narrower bacause of the edges. It looks weird, UI also suffers in G6 we'll see how Samsung will utitlize it. Also the Bixby button looks very prone to accidental presses.
That thing looks so long!
Alien , 01 Mar 2017I've always said no to Samsung because I never liked TouchWiz. When I see all icons looking th... more"Are you saying the themes will change the system icons? The ones you see inside the settings menu?"
To answer your question: Yes.
The themes in the Samsung's Theme store can change the system icon and the icon inside the settings menu and much more. Basically, with the Theme Store, you can completely change the UI so that it looks like Stock Android if you wanted to.
Man that is a beauty, bezel-less is the future for sure.
2 classes below MiMix regarding design
techlover1, 01 Mar 2017Hopefully, Samsung will not do the same thing as LG with the G6, and so beautiful 2017 aesthet... morehow you stablish the 2017 specs ?? i mean .. how about if i tell you .. you actualy dont need more then 2016 specs? cose whatever software you use they are made to run perfectly even on 2015 specs?
If this is the S8 or S8+ where is the Samsung logo?
next year this will be the standard for devices 100%
By visual, LG look better
Anonymous, 01 Mar 2017No home button? How is the device then waken? Use the power button? Fingerprint scanner
Xiaomi Mi Mix beats Samsung S8, LG G6 or iPhone in terms of design.
Anonymous, 01 Mar 2017No home button? How is the device then waken? Use the power button? double tap to wake up
Anonymous, 01 Mar 2017Yes you can change icons and stuff with themes.
And if you really want to root it the exynos ... moreFirst of all im from Europe so it will be with exynos processor, though I preferred SnapDragon. I don't want to unlock the bootloader as that will only lead to bugs. I'm not looking to flash other roms, I just want to debloat the hell out of the stock one like I did on my Sony.
Does Samsung have a repair software like Sony does with software companion? In case I get any bootloops.
I've deleted almost everything that could be deleted, even system apps that could be found in the settings menu without any errors (NFC, DLNA, BLUETOOTH etc). Sony's optimization is just brilliant. I'm just hoping to achieve the same thing on S7.
By the way, you can do most of the things with partial root, except custom recovery, flashing roms and zips, xposed framework.
MAJOR ALERT : installing xposed framework on a locked bootloader will brick your phone!!! That's how my first Sony died :( Good thing I bricked it so bad, the service center couldn't tell and I got it replaced :)
the trouble with buttons on both sides directly across from each other is that grabbing around the phone to press a button result in pressing the button on the other side.
No home button? How is the device then waken? Use the power button?
spottiest, 01 Mar 2017If price is matter i therefore buy xiaomi. LG is nowhere when place beside samsung.
