HTC ChaCha is going to be called ChaChaCha in Spain - read the full textHTC is having some trouble with one of their newly announced Facebook phones. Apparently ChaCha sounds much like a vulgar Spanish word so the handset will be marketed as HTC ChaChaCha in Spanish-speaking countries instead. Obviously someone over at the HTC PR center didn't do their homework....

The article said SLANG and not DIRECT TRANSLATION.

Replace the first "a" in "ChaCha" with an "o". In Spain, this is a slang for a women's ... Well, you get the picture.

Anyway, bravo for the ridiculous naming conventions, HTC! Can't wait to show off my Salsa!

The wont change the name because it means something bad, they'll change it cuz the spanish company called cha cha is sueing HTC for stealing a trademark name.

Who said anything about Chinese? If they only called it Cha then maybe in Chinese it would sound similar to the Chinese word for tea.

Cha Cha Cha is a musical rhythm, just like Salsa. Thet's why this phone has that name. I think GSM Arena did not quite get this one.

htc's phone's shapes are most fugly and so are their phone's names.
Learn something from samsung if you guys from htc still wanna use a code name for each device or follow nokia's only number system.
