The article said SLANG and not DIRECT TRANSLATION.
Replace the first "a" in "ChaCha" with an "o". In Spain, this is a slang for a women's ... Well, you get the picture.
Anyway, bravo for the ridiculous naming conventions, HTC! Can't wait to show off my Salsa!

The wont change the name because it means something bad, they'll change it cuz the spanish company called cha cha is sueing HTC for stealing a trademark name.

Seriously, can anyone translate it for me?
Chacha in regular Spanish means "nanny" or "maid" but I don't know Spanish slang. Please advise.

Who said anything about Chinese? If they only called it Cha then maybe in Chinese it would sound similar to the Chinese word for tea.

Cha Cha Cha is a musical rhythm, just like Salsa. Thet's why this phone has that name. I think GSM Arena did not quite get this one.
