Spy shots reveal a Sony Ericsson Windows Phone 7 prototype
Sony Ericson is getting back in shape in increasingly larger leaps. Their Android lineup is getting more and more competitive and now it seems that Windows Phone 7 is in the cards. Some blurry spy shots reveal a Windows Phone 7 device with a full QWERTY keyboard.
Apart from the photos, there's...

Whenever there is a physical keyboard involved the screen should definitely rotate to landscape. Windows Phone 7 should apply this fix in their future updates. You just can't show a device with the keyboard open and the screen not in landscape. It really makes the OS looks bad even though WP7 is far superior than other mobile OSs.

As also said and some French speaking media this an old prototype that has been cancelled since hopefully... who would have WM7 instead of Android? :P links: http://www.monsmartphone.net/l...e-t2243.html and http://fr.ubergizmo.com/2011/0...type-recale/

on esato.com blog it says that this is an old prototype from last year that was shelved, SE has come out recently to say they will not be looking at WP7 just yet.

The qwerty keyboard still cannot beat Nokia E90 keyboard. I won't buy it.

Don't talk about what you clearly don't know

i just hate sony ericsson for their bad hardware, bad UI,bad service and highly cost for example XPERIA ARC is a nice looking phone but missing of secondary and cost around 28k its dissapointed for all SE fans but when we talk about WP7 it is a good OS for business user but not get update to some HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE for example missing of secondary, unable to file transfer over with bluetooth, copy&paste, internet explorer9,highly cost etc so at this time WP7 is not a good ecosystem when compared to android, ios and symbian but recently we have a new open-source OS i am talking about meego the UI is more intresting, better internet surfing, superfast working,GIVE A unique experience so we don't know what happen with meego i am not a fanboy of sonyericsson, motorola, apple, htc,lg,samsung recently i looked at nokia and see that nokia is the best in the way of hardware, software update, better service and pricing i think se,motorola, samsung, htc,lg,apple these brnds phone are just a waste of money i knw nokia is thebest.

I'd be very causious of this being real. The slide out view with the keyboard still has the screen in portrait mode so this is not what I would call a fully working unit or at best a mockup.

> In reply to xXx @ 2011-03-07 14:42 from nTpT - click to readUI Is user interface. Sonys UI Is better looking than most others but they do have a tendancy to make it overly complex and thus result in a bit of lag, or in a more extreme case, it hampers the speed of updates (not asmuch as networks hamper it tho) But updates are a sore point with sony ericcson users. as there current flagship phones is stuck on 2.1.

The "flagship phone" xperia Arc isn't even out yet and they are jumping over to windows. With the x10 they couldn't uphold promised updates, let alone in a timely manner. The sworn support won't come as they will be working on the new flagship.
Sony Ericsson lost my loyalty when they lost their devotion.

SE will not get to modify WP7; the only manufacturer that has been given any kind of clearance to do that so far is Nokia, and to what extent is entirely uncertain. Rest assured, the SE handsets will have vanilla WP7.
