You can even do it using the chat support on samsung.ca. Its the same for any other resellers not only Costo.
Its fine that you hate Samsung but you really dont have to spread your ignorance.
Oh and the phones bought from Samsung stores have the unlock code in or on the box (on a sticker).

Unless... moreThat's sad, here in Brazil it's illegal to sell locked devices and almost no one get phones from carriers stores, instead people buy from retailers without any carrier branding and if you buy one with carrier branded ROM, it's as simple as flashing the stock ROM w/o any branding, you can buy directly from the manufacturer website too.
I've receive the Android 7.0 Nougaton my unlocked device, but Im not so happy with battery drain when not using the device... hope to be fixed with 7.1 version...

Nothing wrong from buing from amazon.ca btw. The warranty is 100% legit and Samsung has a lot of service center across the country. You can even get your phone fix in two hours sometimes.
Sweden just got its Nougat update. Seamless!

It's not like I really need these updates (security updates are much more important for me), but android is one big mess when it comes to updates - not only different models getting updates in different time but also depends on carrier.
Telus, Koodo, Fido and Vidéotron are missing from the list too... And those are major carriers (at least Telus and Vidéotron)
