If people can buy a $ 1k iPhone with much lower specs, then many could also buy an equally priced samsung flagship which has a better specs. Not justifying the price here, but based on Apple's market share, obviously, people has the capacity to pay, only that just at this time for samsung, it has more features, better overall specs and for sure high-grade performance.
If that expencive i chose xiaomi more cheaps maybe in mi 6s will have eye scanner just wait with half price, if can pay half why must pay full. Die samsung if that expencive you know if apple dummies with that expencive why u must follow it. Try to small profit but large custommer.
Mir, 26 Mar 2017No.. This is not the right price. The price is too high for a device prone to scratches both ... moreThe S8+ easily will and the S8 will probably too especially with moderate usage, lets wait for the battery endurance tests first.

I find it hysterical that people expect flagships from the best smartphone companies to cost $300 or less I mean come on if you want a cheap phone that bad there are other options out there.

aceofgenerations, 27 Mar 2017There might be better value elsewhere, but there is not a better phone out there. Are you joking !!! No other better phones seriously?!
AnonD-85136, 26 Mar 2017I ll go for Xperia xz premium Me too I will go directly for the Xperia XZP, waiting for it this June. I compared it's price with other phones, XZP is the cheapest one for the richest quality.

How about a big bag of NOPE
There might be better value elsewhere, but there is not a better phone out there.
"Not to mention it will be the only one on the screen to combine minimalist bezels with curved edges (the LG G6 screen is flat)," if you care about that and the fact that it'll be the first widely available SD835 flagship out there along with the rest of the hardware and software features then I'd say it's worth the price, especially if you take into consideration that it's not that much more expensive than a bigger (non-expandable) iPhone 7 Plus and Pixel XL phone.
At that price a lot of people will postpone upgrades from 2-3 years to 5-6 years.
I don't get some of you folks downgrading the S8. really folks? If you can't afford it then you don't have to jealous about it! Some of you just hating these duo because it's made by Samsung or for what ever reason, but I think S8 will going to be the best smartphone out there and this is reasonable price and just think how hard to make it and how many features will packed on it that make it cheaper when you start analysing about it. Don't let your fanboism rot onto you!
The discussion topic states "Big Specs demand big money" But apart from a 10mm processor and a Bigger screen with an unusual measurement, I don't see "Big Specs"
The SD835 or Exynos 8895 maybe the top of the range, The RAM is still only 4GIG and should have been 8GIG. The screen should have been 4K. No dual camera either.
So all in all there is no "Big Specs"
S8 I'm going to pass on and save my money for something that is "Big Specs".
Wake up Samsung and give us something worthy of that delusional pricetag!
The sweet spot for price/value today is in 400-600 range with Oneplus, Huawei and Xiaomi making some of the best propositions. Above that, yes you'll get some more details/features but you pay much more for that.
I am so glad they did this poll and most of voters agree with me,No phone is worth more than 750$ and that is the right price for 256 GB 7plus
