Yes it's a High ish price , but specs are top of the line , and when you consider the cost of more basic devices like the pixels where more expensive in real terms ,it seems reasonable to me .
Someone commented that the screens are the same , you need to do some homework .
pika2000, 26 Mar 2017Actually, the ones getting Samsung top phones are those looking for status symbol. Most people... moreRich people has two options in market, Samsung high end galaxy and Apple iPhone, the ones who want latest, greatest, prettiest go for Galaxy S and people who think an apple logo will make them look richer than their original standard, don't have good knowledge or desire of future technology go for iphones, that's why you'll find people who don't have other luxury things like a good car, watch and other basic luxury things but have an iPhone, there are another category of rich people who are even more on the tech side and go for Note series though they may also have S series the next year. Most regular Samsung users have tried an iPhone once or twice but most Apple typical users are still far from tasting the greatness of a dual curved screen galaxy(they may have a entry or middle range galaxy at home for basic Android operations) .
johnnkennedy, 26 Mar 2017The price is fair For rich people's and diehard sammy fans :)price in my country minimum 1200eur,

No. I wouldn't even touch it with a 10ft pole even if it is sold for $500. Total ripoff! Way better brands out there
How really cares. We have alternatives not to mention the A7(2017).
ummm......you said there that the "competition" is stuck to the snapdragon 821....tho the xperia xz premium was announced at MWC and has the s835 and it is available to preorder now:)

In Montenegro, at launch S6 (flat) was 890€ and S7 edge was 930€. The same 930€ price for S8+ would be great... But it's probably going to be 1000€+, just like iPhone 7+ costs around 950€.
premium smartphones in price range of $ 200 i think most people buy not as expensive as its # overpriced
never mind with if this is the price...i am still enjoying my Z11 at $400 and still worth it!
They wanna make up the millions note7 loss on our pocket with s8
If you ask me, only OnePlus 3T among all flagship devices worth its money. And may be (just may be) Huawei P10. And it does not matter how much money you have. If you are rich - get some luxury device, if you are not rich why would you pay so much money for just a phone which will be thrown from throne in less than 6 months? There is something beyond my understanding.
No. It doesnt have dual speakers, dual cameras and not even an IR blaster like they used to have.
Is just a huge piece of glass that doesnt even have a 4K display.
Pixel XL is not justified either at 900$.
It has the same lack of features as the S8.
Something that is actually worth the price is LeEco Le Pro3.
Snapdragon 821, DAC, 16MP f2.0 camera, dual speakers, USB-C headphones with an integrated decoder chip for 24-bit/96kHz audio files (and audiophiles 😜), IR blaster, 64GB internal storage, 5.5" 1080P IPS display and a 4050mAh battery. Also it has a 6GB RAM variant.
I forgot to say the price. 350$.
Unless they assure 5 years Support / 3 Years warranty, these prices have no real meaning! People will slowly move away from Premium Segment forever!

google and apple buy components from samsung, this adds to the price. Samsung in a sense is just a manufacturer/supplier. The don't buy so many components from other companies so their devices should be cheaper. I think samsung is trying to make up the profits from the note 7 fiasco.
Look athe the geographical stats. of this poll. Sometimes I think, that there is no South america, africa or australia in this planet.. i mean they hardly does anything that comes to any news or something.. what the heck
