You never used so you don't know the power of a galaxy S. I have this iPhone 7 and I'm regretting. I've my S6 edge which is lot more better in every aspect. I don't hate Apple why would I buy iphone 7 if I did but it's really fooling people with a cheap phone sold at high price. Apple's ios, fast processor, perfect app implementation, these all are just myths spreaded by Apple. Use both phones side by side if you can afford and watch the difference. Samsung is what giving us the latest and greatest tech.

Apple is really the worst. Samsung service is really the best but you actually never need it. I never took any of my Samsung phone to a service center except once when I had an S3 and I had to replace the display tho I went on the last day of my warranty and they did it very quickly keeping my data intact. Once you go to Apple service center you are guaranteed to lose data.

Galaxy S series has always been expensive. if you can buy it, good for you. everyones budget is different.
Tsuki, 03 Apr 2017Best design, camera (second to pixel), display.Design is subjective, the elongated pill like form is not to everyone's tastes.
Camera ... we'd see, it doesn't seem a huge upgrade than last year.
Screen, I agree, basically the only edge that Samsung still holds.
In everything is on par or worse, far worse in parts as compared to other flagships.
Old Samsungs used to be best on everything. Take Note 4. Best camera, best ram, best SoC, best battery (replaceable), best storage (replaceable), Pen support, best screen (as per tradition), smallest bezels of its time, first fingertip sensor on android

Gallaxy S phones lose speed after a while. Galaxy S phones lose their warranty once unlocked and then relocked. Galaxy S phones have worse service (no instant replacements). Galaxy S phones have 2 years software support and that's it.
None of those are elite and anything over $600 should be about those things, the very things that Samsung does not offer as well. For better or worse Apple does.
Samsung used to be better than Apple on specs and features, worse on support. Nowadays it's better on features alone. On specs it is not.
I mean similar/worse battery than 7+ , slower in both games and real life, similar camera (better at some things , worse at other), better screen (the one edge they kept), about the same amount of gimmicks with few uses (heart rate monitor, 3D touch) .
Spec wise they're similar nowadays, the immense edge of Galaxies is gone.
Features wise Samsung is better because ... duh ... android
Support wise (software or physical) ... not even close. Day and night

Keeping my S7 Edge this time around, waiting for the iPhone 8.
At this point, the camera is what I primarily care about in a phone, so if Apple ups the ante, I am in.

Apples top phone the 7+ cannot match it in any area except speed and does that at the sacrifice of features and functionality. There is no other comparable phone that is less compact and heavier, chargers slower yet costs more than the Edge. iPhones are the most overpriced of all phones, with the S8 you will the most modern, up-to-date phone, packed with the latest tech in a size comparable to the 7+ yet even lighter. the opposite of the 7+.

I mean I love android, I own an android for the simple reason that I like to hack around... *but* . If I am to pay iphone prices I would simply bought an iPhone. If I'm pay iphone prices I want the best performance in both games and every day setting, best support, one of the best cameras.
A galaxy is not as fast as an iPhone (and never was), heck it's not even that fast for an android (the sonys, pixels and onepluses of the world are faster), worse support in both the store and the phone itself (discontinued update after 2 years tops). It's a great product, don't get me wrong, but it's a 400-500 euro great, not a 900 euro great product...
A bit pricey!? Its vastly over priced for what it is. Android fan boys need to see the light. More than happy to talk about and whinge when Apple's iPhones are so expensive and demean it. Just why is Samsung/Google any different? Nothing revolutionary about the S8 at all. Has a slightly modified design from the previous generation at the cost of ergonomics with the finger print sensor near the lens. Who in their right mind would pick this over the G6? G6 has the bigger battery and camera is on par. You get a 835 SD but with no quick charge 4...and instead get some retarded redesign of onscreen buttons.
Zero-X.1007, 02 Apr 2017I just don't get one thing when Apple keeps its prices high after removing basic features eve... moreApple uses it's own OS and design their SoC and other parts which asks for other companies like Samsung to manufacture. Same with google and the pixel. They do all the work! Now what does Samsung do to justify the high price? They use an OS that was made by google and everything else they put in their phones they manufacture anyway to sell to other companies. Samsung is a supplier. Buying from the supplier should be cheaper!!! Galaxy S8 is nothing more than a new design. Apart from the screen what justifies the price? Don't tell me the SoC. Every year all companies put the fastest SoC on their flaghips.
In countries with an apple store, people get the best possible support. Apple just gives you a new phone, no questions asked. Samsung, at least in the Uk, has poor support. They will give you a cheap replacement until you wait 2 weeks to get your phone fixed under warranty. The iPhone 5 is running on ios10! (And no it's not horrible performance wise). So long story short, samsung does not spend as much in R&D and as they are the suppliers their phones should be cheaper not more expensive. And this is how it used to be until this year.
As a tech geek and recently have bought amd ryzen, I agree that value for money/ performance per dollar is needed...
