My previous phone was Sony Xperia S. The skin from Sony is so basic i wanted the android update so much. Now I've switched to Mi5, i love the skin on my phone. I get timely update for the skin and I'm not impatient about android update ever. Switch to Xiaomi they provide timely update for almost every feature on the phone

It's just up to the OEM to optimize it. Asus is actually good at optimization too. My Zenfone Max only lags when used while charging, but that's normal, because even my sister's LG G4 does the same

Will update only once newer releases are free o... moreWell, I just don't like the fact that I'll receive it even after Android O officially comes out. Marshmallow is doing fine on me, I just want that split screen multitasking already. Not only OS, but even my security update is still stuck at December 5,2016 patch level. Not even January 2017, while Samsung's low budgt phones are already at March 2017. Only then I will soon make up my mind and get a Note 4 for a good price since it already has good features I am waiting from Nougat
Thanks for/to LineageOS, making Android updates available when Samsung/Lenovo/Sony/Asus... no longer support their own phones!

You will get bugs and instabilities and battery drain... The only good way to be up to date is either flashing custom rom or buying a smartphone which has latest android so it will be very stable.

I won't buy new phone just because of new software like they want us to. My bro has 7.1. It was interesting for him for couples of days and now he is bored as he usually is. :D Life is out of Android world.
Pixel love forever.
