it's a very cool phone, with not that too expensive price. the only thing missing on this phone is the 3G feature.
It's only good 'today' if it has HSPDA.
Awsome i want one!!!!!!!!!!
I've foud a review of this phone, plus video presentation: www.slickdeals.ro/?p=435
Can be this phone dominate the Sony Ericsson`s World ???
Can be this phone make a lot of things that sony ericcson o nokia cant make ??
Muahahahhaa..
Bill Gates has the MS-Phone by Microsoft..
It comming son September of 2007...
it has 3.2Megapixel camera, TFT touchscreen 600x600, 20GB capacity and slot to put 40GB more. they come with MS Vista OS 2008 Beta, and they can be works with Xingular and Verizon Wireless Both..
Ok here is how it is
i USE to be a Nokia fanboy before i saw this phone from apple, normally i would rip on another phone that aint Nokia but the simple fact is Apple has offered something new and exciting, So before all you Nokia Fan boys go on about how this doesn't even compare to the N95 take a few things into consideration
1. YAY GREAT nokia N95 has in car gps but consider one thing have you ever tried driving and looking at a 2.6inch screen CANT BE DONE so go out and buy (like myself) a indash 7.2 inch monitor with Navman (trust me allot better and allot less can go wrong)
2. 5MP camera. WOW not like i don't have a 10mp SLR digital camera at home. The need for camera this big on a phone is useless cause you have to remember the size of these file in raw format would be 3,4 MB tops and try sending that to a mate with a nokia 6101 IT WONT HAPPEN
3. It runs Symbian YAY the most unreliable buggy software out
4. Have any of you ever used a Nokia N73 N80 or N91 TRUST ME IVE OWNED THEM And they restart, freeze, malfunction ALL THE TIME so n95 ain't looking to good
All in all THANK YOU APPLE for giving me something to look forward to and hopefully in Australia it will be available on optus cause then ill get it for free (working for optus is so much fun)
Beautiful phone, my dream phone - I will change to whichever network carries this in the UK! Better still, I'd rather buy it unlocked and sim-free. Come on Apple, sell them through your shops unlocked, a much better idea.
has anyone whined "but it doesn't have an FM tuner" yet?
seriously now - this phone will need screen protector from "day one", as it will be scratched by keys, spare change & whatever is in our bags & pockets. but will a protective film interfere with a touch screen?
this is a nice one.
will this one sync with microsoft windows, because some of us are using windows rather than mac.
are there other soft wares and game for this.
will this one support exe,sis,jar/jad,etc.
5 hrs talk time, 12 hrs music playback, 70+ standby
Ugly phone...
can this phone be bought frm the apple store UNLOCKED??? or do u have to go buy it frm cingular, it wouldnt make since if cingular only carried it, actully that would b really stuipd if its only locked to cingular.. i think u can buy it frm apple unlocked but ONLY CINGULAR sells it for a good price if u sign up with them... lemme know
The only thing this thing has going for it is the renowned Apple marketing and the unshakeable faith of die-hards who turn a blind eye on the VERY OBVIOUS shortcomings of this device. It's old tech, live with it.
this is going to be great!!can't wait for it!!!
This is, by and large, one of the biggest thing to come from Apple. However, while the software is definitely top-notch, the hardware is confusingly archaic. Why put out a product to be globally available in 2008 using hardware of 2005? And you can't justify it saying, "well it doesn't really need this or that..." Come on, who are you kidding? And if you're waiting for upgrades such as a 3-5 MP camera, future 3G, etc., etc., why didn't Apple come out with it in the first place. 2MP is already run of the mill by today's standard and will soon be rendered obsolete once N95 raises the bar to 5 MP. And this thing is bringing in 2 MP... in 2008?
Of course we can point out the niceties in Steve Jobs's keynote speech. That's conceded, this thing has GREAT software. But why sell your clients short on the hardware? Because that's what it is: Selling short.
This phone is GREAT. No, i mean big, humongous, gigantic... thin though. I have a SE M600i and i already think its too big.
It really have lots of killer features, don't really need 3G, but Wifi might help.
no deal! tae..
Great Features, but it would be the best if it had 3G features. Anyway, it will rock the mobile market when it will be available. I wish to have one then. The price will be the main issue to rock the mobile market.
Just for the record: Apples revenue is 20 Bill USD, profit 2 Bill USD, 10 Bill USD cash in the bank. Who said bankrupt? Stock rose from 7 USD in 1997 to 95 USD in 2007, thats over 1200%!
"No stylus - it won't work" (you haven't seen multi-touch in action)
"No speakerphone - that sucks" (said who? it does have speakerphone)
"Apple is bankrupt" (Huh? Since when? How can that be when they've sold 2 million songs, 50 million television episodes, and 1.3 million movies thru itunes? - and that's only one part of their product line. I suppose that's why their stock rose 8% while Palm, RIM (maker of Blackberry), and Motorola all fell 5.7%, 7.9%, and 1.8% respectively.)
"It's too expensive - I'm not buying" (yet how many of you buy $250+ phones AND $250 ipods for a total cost of $500+? - hmmm... same price as iphone plus benefit of only having one device as opposed to two. besides - as an example, Nokia N93 retails for $700 and doesn't do HALF of what iPhone does)
Yes - there are lots of things it doesn't have - like 3G, GPS, HSDPA, etc. But the beauty of this phone is that its design allows for these things in the future with a simple software upgrade - as opposed to having to release a new model each and every time. It's initial US release with quadband is much more suited to North America - where sadly we are behind the cellular times. Apple has a history of releasing upgraded versions rather quickly - I don't see why there can't be a 3G version for Europe and Asia by the time the iPhone is released in those areas. I've also noticed that iTunes store recently added iPod games - which could propel Apple into the gaming industry in the future, as well.
There is a lot of misinformation in the comments I've read and I strongly urge you all to watch the presentation by Steve Jobs before making these comments:

It's a little long but COMPLETELY worth it - it shows you exactly what the phone can do. I was sold 10 minutes into it.
I have a friend who works for Cingular - she said 20 people walked through the door asking for it on the day it was announced. My opinion - iPhone is going to be the electronic Swiss Army knife of our time. I also think that even the critics and skeptics are going to be impressed once it hits the streets. Not only am I buying the phone the day it's released, but I'm investing in Apple, Inc. as well.
Bottom line - Apple's FIRST phone packs more innovation than the hundreds of products that Nokia, Samsung, or Motorola EVER put out. What comes out in June is only the tip of the iceberg. And the Me-too variants are going to have a very hard time catching up. The technology on this phone is five years ahead of its time.
