I think this is pretty cool! While most of the X10 contemporaries will get stuck on Froyo, the X10 will move ahead with Gingerbread 2.3.3!!

I must say its about time SE gave its X10 owners something good to look forward to with the Gingerbread update, even though it comes after a very very long wait. I was about to head over to the XDA Dev's to get the Gingerbread update but that would mean I'd have to root my phone and lose a bit of camera functionality. It would have been disappointing and pointless that SE give X10 owners a 2.2 Froyo update while other phones from the competition are already on their way to Gingerbread (e.g Galaxy S), so this good for SE.
Now I wait for the update to hit my country so I can update from Eclair to Gingerbread!

Sony Ericsson is late but it delivers. A huge point for them for that.

Will you upgrade the XperiaTM X10 mini, mini pro and XperiaTM X8 to 2.3?
No, we have no such plans. We have had to prioritize our resources and have therefore focused on delivering the upgrade to XperiaTM X10.

if this happens I will become a devotee of SE... after buying x10 I felt cheated & used to abuse SE WHEREVER possible, now SE has turned it around... if I get multitouch all-around it will be icing.
