Savor, 24 Apr 2017Sony has patience. Samsung lacks it. Yup. That's why z5 displays had it too
Anonymous, 23 Apr 2017You went in some random rant and complete dodged the point.

What escapes me is how some people believe some blind (as in no access to hardware) software patch will do a "good job" recalibrating that screen to anything near acceptable photographic quality.... specially when the issue is already a severe misrepresentation of color -- as in red all over the place.
Sure, they can tone the red down and make it look "colorful" again (some people already have)... but the "blind" software patch cannot do it without leaving you with weird offsets (at best) or losing coverage (at worst), that would that proper calibration like it's done at factory.
And yes, there's proper calibration even for things half this price, live with it!

Which one of those screens is perfect? None.
Their white point is almost always to high or in some cases low. Though every once in a while it's near correct.
And their color balance if even correct at all is not 100% correct.
None of them are perfect
Tann Hauser, 23 Apr 2017Or...I am not.
You seem to deny this gate.
Heck, even Sammy admited to it.Too bad you are lol.
And you deny even the existence of similar issues or any at all with Sony
Unbox Therapy explains it very well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTQr6VwMfBI
Tann Hauser, 23 Apr 2017Or...I am not. You seem to deny this gate. Heck, even Sammy admited to it.But it wasn't in the last years it was only in the past year with the Galaxy Note 7. Admit it.
Anonymous, 23 Apr 2017And what other screen on a phone has perfect calibration?I know for a fact iPhones cover sRGB, being pretty confident Android flagships (who also have sRGB modes) also cover it near 100% or above. Manufacturers are touting improved cameras at each generation and people now do photography with this things. It's just silly to invest so much in cameras only to then put a screen that hinders the ability to use the camera to its fullest.
Tann Hauser, 22 Apr 2017Nah, that was last years batterygate. This is just confirmation. Or you are a looser troll who has envy and hate of Samsung to be ahead of Sony, HTC or even Apple in terms of technology?
Tann Hauser, 22 Apr 2017Nah, that was last years batterygate. This is just confirmation. Where is the batterygate in the last years? As i know only happened last year with Galaxy Note 7. Don't exaggerate, don't be a basher and don't defend your favorite brands like they were perfect, like Apple or Sony or even HTC. You know that there were cases of iPhones getting fire and exploding in the last years, please be quiet and calm down. The problem only happened in some defective unities of the Korean model.
Deadmanvcg, 23 Apr 2017I know that .. qaulity control is there for all the software and hardware .. Show me one ornery phone company that never had any similar issues and that has perfect flagship store.
Oh wait. You can't lol. Unless you are a blind fanboy is not possible
Deadmanvcg, 22 Apr 2017They can have little issues on low end devices but this is the fckng flagship of the company. ... moreSo topi negate facts to repeat the illogical disproven claims again.
They all have them on all levels. All. As in every single last company. And just about any other flagship.
But do as you please. Live in denial, do this for kicks to troll people, or just to sound tough online. Whatever your reasoning is
mojojojo, 22 Apr 2017relax, its a software issue that easily fixed.I know that .. qaulity control is there for all the software and hardware ..
Tann Hauser, 22 Apr 2017Nah, that was last years batterygate. This is just confirmation. the red display issue is very rare though only a small few.
