Georgio, 27 Apr 2017That was just a rumour ; nobody knows if Sony is going to use amoled. It is already confirmed that Sony is indeed going OLED in early 2018 or even this late 2017. But no need to worry, they will use OLED screens from JDI, a collaboration of Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, Fujitsu, etc.
Their Bravia team already started to switch, why won't their Xperia team, too?
People always ask for change, and everyone basically want change. LG is also going OLED with the V30, too
[deleted post]If we can buy a Sony flagship then can also also afford Samsung. But it doesn't mean that I will go and buy s8 just for stup... display ratio and crap design
Anonymous, 27 Apr 2017ow yeah? so why it didnt happen to S7 and S6?
S to S5/Note to Note 4 were yellowish
S6/Note 5 were greenish
S7/Note7 were bluish
Ben30, 27 Apr 2017Super amoled crap, I rather choose IPS lcdMeh, had one LCD phone recentlyand have used several others... they all look average after being on AMOLED for a few years.
No issue with my S8+ screen color. It is very simple to adjust the colour balance on the S8/S8+ but you shouldn't have too.
Super AMOLED they say....well there is nothing super about this AMOLED display. It's just an AMOLED display with a pentile matrix just like the others on the market. The "super" AMOLED means that your digitizer (touch sensor) is build right on top of the AMOLED screen. Super AMOLED they say ... :)
"reflect their own preferences", white should always be white, not red..., regardless of anyones preferences!
Anonymous51, 27 Apr 2017Should be called "Super Amolred®" Rated ® Red
mixa, 27 Apr 2017It's not a bug, it's a feature xDA feature bug actually that's the Samsung nature stupidity
What a B/S. If this is the nature of AMOLED then they should stop using it in their products. And also why this "nature" manifests itself differently on different phones (= some have white whites and some have red whites).
Anonymous, 27 Apr 2017You pay 800euro to get this "feature", LOL...LOL
When the pink tint issue happened in HTC 10's display, everyone cried about HTC's product quality. Now when the same happens in Samsung (obviously for different reason), same people are like "That's a small issue;nothing to worry".
