Got an email by LG. Finally ther are releaseing 2.3 for 2x in few days.

Its now almost October and we still don't have gingerbread?

i am very unhappy woth the flaws of LGs software and i will NEVER by an LG again!
they have ruined my perception of Android phones!!!

The danish LG Support page for GB update to v.2.3.unspecified, has postponed the update until the fall of 2011. They even missed their re-communication deadline: More accurate date over summer. Well they have a few weeks to communicate the date - again. That is why I always tend to communicate it as H2 or Q3 if asked by marketing for a final release date.

I just upgraded my optimus one to gingerbread via Lg mobile software upgrade, so 2.3.3 is available in Romania and it looks and works great!

This is all crap. There is no answers on the FAQ on the LG site. I spoke to LG just now, they said they don't even have an ETA yet. It's still in testing mode..

I had xperia play which had 2.3. non stop problems and due to tht i really don't want my optimus to have gingerbread as i was told tht it was tht system tht caused all my problems. i agree wiv comment above, jus jump straight to 2.4.

As a user of LG, i'm happy to see this, but please make it skip to 2.4 directly, which utilizes the duo core completely...
