friends got the same problem tried it on separate computers using win 7 x64 and vista x84 respectively different compatibility modes and admin privileges any other ideas apart from waiting on a kies update to fix the issue for us laymen's

Can not update. Kies Crash after the skip backup part.

What is wrong? Vista problem?

Just installed the new fixed update that i mentioned below.
my Galaxy got a lot faster (well the animation on start up is still jitterish) and now it is completly in Finnish.
Quadrant standard did not say nothing about faster...1st got ;950 ,2nd got; 963

but this txt input on browser is still annoying!!
I havent noticed eny bugs yet, the old ones seem to wanished...but lets see for a week or so..
But for now im happy! try it out if u have it on your kies.
OTA is crap..

Just plugged my galaxy s to KIES in Finland.
(YES i managed to dowload the gingerbread from kies, before it was pulled out...)
Enyways... KIES says that a new update is available!!!!!!!!!!


OLD is:
PDA:JVB/PHONE:JVK/CSC:JV3 (2.3.3 Gingerbread)

NEW is:
PDA:JVH/PHONE:JVO/CSC:JV3

Just started to download, but KIES said that my battery was too low...so ill try it later...
But HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!

Oh oh Galaxy 2 is said to be released here on 20th week, aprox on MAY 15th!

got my phone back from repair at the carphone warehouse and it came with 2.3.3 on it. phone seems much faster but will wait and see how it is. Also got a free upgrade on the memory to a 16gb model :-)

i got my gingerbread on my sgs today and so far all seems well,the phone is so much faster and smoother.i have an unbranded handset and i live in the uk.

I love my Galaxy S.... however, no surprise thgart the update is not available.

Been pulled due to bugs or something. One solution, get it right before putting it up on server.

Hmm, just plugged my i9000 into kies and got update process (3 UK). After the update installed i was a tad pee'd off as the update was for 2.2.1 - WTF!
