Lol...S7 sales hit 10 million mark in 75 days??
Then how Samsung moves 25M S7 units in less than 110 days??
JF69, 29 May 2017This just goes to show you what constant advertising does to people's brains, no wonder Samsun... moreI visited a shop to check the s8 out. The s7 is not even in the same league as the S8 as far as looks and feel are concerned.
*That*, in my opinion, explains the market performance better than the "oh, it's just advertising" angle.
JF69, 29 May 2017This just goes to show you what constant advertising does to people's brains, no wonder Samsun... moreits the only reason samsung ever got popular. They made some really shitty phones like the s5 but yet poeple were convinced the phones were good even though they were cheap plasticky laggy pieces of crap.
This goes to show you, the only thing Samsung consumers care about is looks. The S8 is a marginal upgrade from the S7, and brings nothing new, but since it looks even more like a piece of jewelry this time around, look at how much it's selling.
Polius, 29 May 2017So you agree you had been brainwashed by all the Samsung ads? All of that complaining coming f... moreNo, not at all, the only reason I own "bought used" an S7 was to try Samsung Pay, which is the only thing Samsung has going for it at the moment, I have owned LG, Motorola, HTC phones, I could care less about what name of what company is on the phone. I don't buy a product because someone says I should, or I need to be part of the CROWD, if you catch my drift.
Buying one for my lady and me, BUT if only that fingerprint reader would be easier to reach. On S8 ok, but S8+ is bigger and I do have stretch a bit manny times a day.

And yes, advertising helps and everybody is using it.
JF69, 29 May 2017This just goes to show you what constant advertising does to people's brains, no wonder Samsun... moreSo you agree you had been brainwashed by all the Samsung ads? All of that complaining coming from an S7 user. Lol.
i went to a store where sony lg and samsung flagships are lined up side by side..and afaik its hard to ignore the s8 duo, however for the logical user its an unnecessary upgrade from an year old s7 edge, hence not buying it
In fact there's extremely much to say about, we can write an entire article about it. But to say it briefly as possible, congrats to Samsung (S8 duo) for this great achievement/ success, (& now after this too, hopefully they'll stay 100% focused on the Note 8).
Anonymous, 29 May 2017Ass doesn't look bad so you mean S8 is sexy? When you call a material device/phone sexy, that just shows people have lost the plot.
How advertising controls what people buy, Samsung has spend billions in advertising for a reason
This just goes to show you what constant advertising does to people's brains, no wonder Samsung spend billions in advertising, they learned from the best which is Apple, if you keep feeding people images of your product over and over they soon become tranquilized. I own a S7 and to me the S8 looks like ass.
