Murat (Istanbul), 11 May 2011i think Big 'N" has bet on the wrong horse, their future smartphone os choice will be win... moreit is not wrong horse.. they still have 100 million symbians to sell (according their plans). furthermore they can not redesign WP7 ui, so what to do with 11000-7000=4000 developpers? :-)
adkane, 11 May 2011"The C7 has an outdated 360x640res screen"
Funny thing is that some newer android... moreDo you really think you can convince someone with that?
Symbian phone is slow on paper and it's slow on use too.
Example Upcoming X7 what a joke, really nokia really? N8 was two years old hardware about speed and X7 is going to be three years behind.
2011 summer, expensive phone with ARM11 680mhz Processor, WOW!
I use C7 for a while. It is not the best device i have ever had, but for price is really gooood. I can't understand all these Android excitement. Ok, it's good but even there are so many bugs... so, tell me even one android phone which battery lasts at least 2 days? My C7 with quite hard lode lasts 2 days, average use - 2.5 - 3 days. 2 me it's more important than 1ghz processor or 1gb ram in price of good laptop computer
Jobbylad, 11 May 2011I cant believe people still use symbian. Its the most clunky unreliable software on the.market ... moreOne question. If android is so good, why come all the way here to promote it?
Eighteen, 11 May 2011The C7 has an outdated 360x640res screen, it has a low 256mb ram, a slow and outdated 680mhz p... more"The C7 has an outdated 360x640res screen"
Funny thing is that some newer android models are still having a HVGA (320X480) screen and yet NOBODY is calling that outdated -_-
"it has a low 256mb ram"
i could get about an average of 90-120mb of ram on my N8 where else in my bro's galaxy S the amount of free ram is about 150-170 even with a 512mb ram chip. That pretty much shows how efficient symbian is with ram management. bear in mind to that symbian can utilize vRAM too.
"a slow and outdated 680mhz processor"
it might be slow on paper but is pretty sufficient for symbian^3 devices because the GPU will take most of the load. Add to the fact that symbian^3 UI is hardware accelerated, unlike android. And another funny thing is that some newer androids also still use ARM11 in their Qualcomm chipsets (e.g Galaxy Ace) and their performance is pretty much mediocre but NO ONE seem to call it outdated too.
really? how desperate can u be? The broadcom bcm 2727 (probably you didnt know that, did ya?) is one of the best GPU out there for single core processors. (best however goes to Terga 2, all hail Nvidia XD)
"ugly *ss OS"
Aesthetics are a personal taste, IMHO
I cant believe people still use symbian. Its the most clunky unreliable software on the.market and needs scrapped.Nokia have bet on a dead horse with this and windows seven.I dont understand why people still use its outdated looks and uses they must be stupid or dinosaurs!Android is far the choice of the masses along with ios which both work well.As for the nokia fan boys jump ship now before you get left behind!
Murat (Istanbul), 11 May 2011i think Big 'N" has bet on the wrong horse, their future smartphone os choice will be win... moreNokia doesn't want to join the COMMONER, so they go into another platform that will surely start from scratch and will rise up from the ashes. Unlike other mobile brands, they love to BASK IN REFLECTED ANDROID GLORY. Come on, ANDROID is not perfect, and so does all the other OS. Nokia's Symbian is not the best, but it definitely is HOME-BRED. If all phone manufacturers will go for Android, I don't think the world would still look nice if everyone uses a differently shaped phone with the same SOFTWARE. That's plain boring.

Sorry, but nokia phones these days can't keep up with modern smartphones. Nokia phones are outdated piece of crap running an outdated, uninteresting OS.
The Nokia E6 is going to make a new record in sales when it hits around the globe . Just wait and watch . This model will single handledly fight its competitors .
Anon, 11 May 2011android can't even incorporate native live widgets into their OS. Instead they rely on a task ... moreIt's also funny to see Nokia's market share going down really fast...get over it, more people are choosing android over symbian....and there is more people who are using android...I can't wait to see the day, you won't have a choice but to change OS and then realize that there were better....Good luck my friend, I just hope you won't stay a nokia fanboy for long...you are missing amazing stuff
Anon, 11 May 2011android can't even incorporate native live widgets into their OS. Instead they rely on a task ... moreYou forgot to mention the special feature of the C7. A defect to be precise. It's suffering from the purple screen defect just like the N8. Now that's a feature you can be proud of!
When it comes to phone reveiews, i go to www.t3.com.. They're reviews really reflects the phone in real life.
we wish the update brings copy and paste on web pagest and flashplayer10.2
android can't even incorporate native live widgets into their OS. Instead they rely on a task bar that displays minimal information e.g 1 missed call, 2 unread messages, 1 new email etc... The actual handsets are about 30% more expensive than the equivalent NOKIA smartphones, while incorporating less features. For example a C7 cost EUR240 and a Desire S costs EUR400. The desire s has a smaller camera (5mp), less internal storage (1GB), Bluetooth 2.1. no FM transmitter, no active noise cancellation for audio recording, no NFC chip, no USB on the go, no TV out, and finally - it will still receive update support from NOKIA in 6 months time.
Fanboys are too stupid to realize they're being ripped off
i think Big 'N" has bet on the wrong horse, their future smartphone os choice will be win 7, if the phones they recently released were based on Android, Nokia would've started the recovery process but unfortunately they stuffed up & missed the opportunity, as it stands "THEY SUCK" !! I CERTAINLY WON'T BE BUYING NOKIA WITH SYMBIAN or WIN 7 ON BOARD.
