except low res camera it's perfect gsm phone + mobile pc combination. no one looks for more of these capabilities i think.

This looks more like a portable device other than cell phone.... perhaps a mini lappy?? With a screen size of 7", would you use as a cell phone or notebook??

Hawk,
Are you really that stupid?
Let me quote the info on the page... "quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support plus UMTS/HSDPA capability"... do you understand what this means? It means there is FULL mobile support. Most likely there will be a SIM card slot in the unit to alow it to make calls.
This is a MOBILE PHONE review site, therefor all units reviewed here are PHONES!
Please do not comment here unless you have an understanding of mobile technology.
Lots of love,
BDV

Must have a 1024x600 screen, its doable, I've seen the Asus R2H and it has the same screen res, but a 1024x600 wont be painful to look at.

if this thing will run Vista Business, then the screenshot is wrong, becuase Business doesn't come with Aero.

it's key for success is it's portability and performance. if it can't even outperform laptops in same price then this UMPC realm will not make the hit. price premium is also the problems with the non standard computers, it is very expensive compared to desktops and laptops though they offer extreme portability.

Looks interesting. This is a Business device for people on the move that do not want 11" screen laptops to lug around but want their PDA to do show comfortably all emails and attachments. I'm a bit worried for the Vista if it takes too much of the system. As for phone function, bluetooth earpiece worked well with TyTN. Would be nice if a click-on/click-off ear piece could be incorporated with the main unit.

Brilliant idea, but weight and cost will dictate whether I rush out to buy. Also dubious of Vista OS. Any chance there'll be a Linux version?
