ProJames, 04 Aug 2017Oh good. And where people will watch their videos? Oh right, on the 750p display of their iPho... morewhen apple put 4k , people said android already have that 4 5 years ago , when apple improve it , people said its gimmick and useless ....
cool story , right ?
Anonymous, 04 Aug 2017If you record a lot of moments through the years, you'll understand why people want 4K and tha... moreYeah right. And where are you going to store all your videos? In your phone? Hahaha! On iCloud? Even better!!! You're going to spend tons of money on HDDs that aren't guarantee to keep working after some years, or you're going to spend even more on Lightning external storage drives.
Do u know that sony z3 also can record 4k at 30fps.hkz.lol. Z3 is awesome.
Anonymous, 04 Aug 2017First Samsung to record 4K was s5. Absurdly I think the note 3 was the phone to record 4k period.
fallinhigh, 04 Aug 2017by your logic since when apple started selling half baked phone ?
selling half baked phone is... moreWow, you are really slow...lemme just give you the specs of the iPhone 7:
-720p screen (technically 750p because...Apple's ~*special dimensions*~)
-12mp rear camera with f/1.8 aperture (pretty standard)
-7mp front camera with f/2.2 aperture with NO autofocus [highest resolution is FHD (1080p)] (well behind other flagships)
-Quad Core CPU clocked at 2.34 GHz (only reason iPhones are fast is because Apple makes both hardware and software. Put an Apple SoC inside something like an S8 and the phone will lag even more than all the haters says it does. FACTS.)
-1960 mAh battery
-No headphone jack
Now if you compare it with the specs of say...an S8:
-QHD SCREEN (1440p)
-12MP REAR CAMERA WITH f/1.7 APERTURE
-8MP FRONT CAMERA WITH f/1.7 APERTURE WITH AUTOFOCUS [highest resolution is QHD (1440p)]
-OCTA-CORE CPU CLOCKED AT 2.35 GHz
-3000 mAh BATTERY
-HEADPHONE JACK INCLUDED
Now consider this:
Apple makes more profit than any other OEM
NOW tell me whether their iPhones don't look "half baked"
Android phones have 6-8GB of RAM so they can actually multitask...something iPhones STILL can't do. (screenshotting the last screen on the app isn't multitasking)
Also he never said an Android phone has 4K 60fps recording. He didn't because the technology just isn't here yet, he was simply saying why he doubts that Apple can pull it off. So learn to read.
TheHater, 04 Aug 2017Not a fan of Samsung, but I'm 99% sure it is the Note 3 http://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_... moreUsing Note 3 since they came out. Still amazing phone for me :) Its almost 4 years atm

Qwerty2017, 04 Aug 2017LOL... U r a role model for all SMART-ASS isheep fanboys in comments section...
U talk like ... moreby your logic since when apple started selling half baked phone ?
selling half baked phone is androids department. also you are saying for tht reason you guys have 6-8gb ram. isnt tht to hide your lagging os ?
and which android phone have 4k 60fps recording ? care to share will be helpful for my knowledge
The iPhone 8/edition/whatever is really gonna blow every Android out of the water, the gap keeps widening and widening. It's fun to watch, especially when you can afford iDevices.
Is this person for real?? " it's Apple that's always the leader" Lol yes....... ,Must be why Apple the leader is buying Samsung Oled screens because for years they invented it and let Samsung take the glory quietly....................
Apple seldom invents anything, It just takes over smaller companies and consumes there innovative patents and "voila" idiots like you then claim Apple is a market leader in innovation........
Anonymous, 04 Aug 2017If you record a lot of moments through the years, you'll understand why people want 4K and tha... moreNo, I don't understand. The biggest mistake one can make is assume that a bump in resolution instantly means also a bump in quality, which is not the same by any means. I'd very much prefer crystal clear Full HD, with slo-mo capabilities and much improved video processing over the same stuff we already have today only with more pixels.
Thankfully it does look like I won't be forgotten (they may deliver both).
mark, 04 Aug 2017apple already knew that problem and they have already figured it out on how 4k recording will ... moreLOL... U r a role model for all SMART-ASS isheep fanboys in comments section...
U talk like u know the problem, but in reality NO...
The overheat problem with 4K recording are related to the cooling system in a phone.
IF the cooling system (the copper) are small, moreover placed on one place, and the back cover is not made from metal for easier dissipation of heat (glass, plastic), overheat will appear in EVERY SMARTPHONE capable of recording 4K, not just Samsung, TROLL...
Moreover, for iphone to be able to record 4K @60fps, the GPU must be on par with desktop mid-range class GPU, and have at least 4core (in powerVR case, as powerVR GPU is bigger in size, unlike Mali GPU which is small, so 8core is the minimal, like in Kirin 960).
In short, to be able to record 4K @ 60fps, apple must:
-) upgrade the GPU, paired the CPU with more powerful GPU than previous ones
-) upgrade the CPU so it can cope up with the GPU for processing the video
-) add battery capacity must be at least 4000mAh to be able to stay a day in a charge, as it will consume more power when used for 4K 60fps recording
-) add more RAM for better video processing (the VERY REASON why Android phone equipped with 6-8GB)
-) better heatsink design
-) lots of copper placed in spread to evenly spread the heat, so it won't get too hot, which will hinder phone's performance (throttling down)
-) back metal case for easier & quicker heat dissipation
Think apple will DO ALL OF THIS in one sweep? IMPOSSIBLE. NEVER. EVER
Anonymous, 04 Aug 2017Most of tv serials are 480p only ...wish we have firefly, startrek in 4k...hope iphone adds 4k6... moreYeah. That's why almost anything apple ever did was from another company. Even the supposedly beginner of it all was just apple joining the smart phone bandwagon seeing the growth they were making. And it wasn't even better than a flip phone of the time except for touch. It was just popular
