Sonu4678, 04 Aug 2017EntireView Display, Really?? They couldn't name it any cooler than this. That what happen when they translate from Chinese to English.
"EntireView"? They couldn't have thought of anything better than this?
It probably sounds better in Chinese, but "EntireView"? Really?
Deffo going to be in the top 3 smartphones of 2017.
S8 series will probably first
Huawei and Apple with the Mate 10 and iPhone 8 to finish off the top 3
bobby21, 04 Aug 20176 inch is too big. Why not make smaller devices? Mate series is supposed to be a phablet
Its probably not even 100% screen to body ratio, much less huawei own tech. Or is?
I wish the phones were bezel-less while having around 5 inch displays. That would make the phones much smaller and easier to use. I mean what's the point of making better screen to body ratios if the phones keep on getting bigger.
Apple will name theirs simply as Apple Display. Just like their smartwatch is not iWatch, it is Apple Watch if anyone havent noticed. Going back to Huawei, EntireView display is not that bad but kinda too obvious. Huawei could had use name like Horizon Display. Sound much better.
Next: Gionee with the "GionScreen"
Oppo with the "Full Selfie Display"
Xiaomi with the "MiView"
OnePlus with the "OneDisplay"
HTC with the : "High Tech Screen"
Motorola with the "Hello Moto display by Lenovo
And finally Alcatel with the "IdolView"
So now is the turn of Huawei with the "EntireView Display." Hopefully it will be a true powerhouse.
abigfanoftechs, 04 Aug 2017Apple: iNearlyFullInfinityView magic!Apple call it iNfinity Display, sue anyone with that same name like Infinity Coffee.
TomSeo, 04 Aug 2017I don't know if i'm going to love that kind of design :( They should leave a small bezel. What I definitely don't like is the trend to make displays taller than 16:9
abigfanoftechs, 04 Aug 2017Apple: iNearlyFullInfinityView magic!iPhone 8 will have less bezels than every other so stop hating
Suggesting this before any other companies pick up these names: HugeScreen, PanoraVision, PortaCinema. :D
Haswell, 04 Aug 2017I'm not a big fan of complete bezeless phones. At least, there should be a little bit of bezel... moreBuy a case (or most probably it will be inside the box) then apply it on the phone and your problem is solved .

EntireView?! LOL! It's sounds like they used a thesaurus and substituted LG's "FullVision" word for word! :P
I'm not a big fan of complete bezeless phones. At least, there should be a little bit of bezels to 1) Receive any potential shock when the phone hits something by accident.
2) To prevent any accidental touches by mistake when the user is just holding it!
I hope I'll like it the design to buy it! otherwise, I'll have to wait for another model from same or different manufacturer!
