Opera mini 6 for iPhone is really gorgeous. I firstly used opera mini 5 with iPod touch 3rd generation and I was fashinated. However with IPhone 4 I was desperated . The lack of retina support made text and image bluring much worst than iPod touch. Also scroolling was not smooth and unpredictable. I kept using it mainly cause of the compression it offers. Now Opera mini 6 loads faster, scrooling is perfect and text and images crystal clear. I'd like an option for bigger fonts . In general I'm very happy my web surfing is cheaper, nice and funny. Greate job Opera. You are the best in mobile browsing.
ceejaay, 26 May 2011it's just like owning an iphone, pointless.lol on the other hand, there are many who feel that having Flash on a phone is pointless.
DK, 26 May 2011Is it better than skyfire(can it support video)no it cant. So end of story...Lol its not like you have to choose one you know. I have both. Skyfire for video. Opera when I am in low speed network.
i updated to version 6.0 of opera mini on my iphone as soon as it showed up on my app store icon, and i would like to mention that this update is really very nice, opera is looking more faster on my iphone now and with pinch to zoom feature its looking really great, and for lack of flash i think we iphone users should develop the habit to live without it, because Mr. Jobs is not going to introduce it in near future.......though skyfire can show run flash but its very slow...so for faster web surfing opera mini is really a great option.....
I see there is alot of talking about flash support for iOS.
dave: "Cause Apple dont do flash and lagg droids take ages to load it"
I saw a youtube clip someone posted in a previous news article about SGS2 and flash in stock android browser, and the pages were loaded really fast and never ever once lagged, but then again SGS2 is a star android device and SGS2 is only 1% of the android market at the moment.
I hope Jobs will let flash thru with the release of iPhone 5 and its dual-core CPU.
Now would be the right time because flash runs silky smooth on an dual-core device!

shadow, 25 May 2011although opera mini is always gud but there should be flash support in it!As much as we want it to have flash. We can't, apple store will reject it.
I'd be especially interested in the opera mini feature tested with the opera mini
wow this opera mini version is super awesome...smooth as butter and super fast... i would say better than the android version cuz previous iphone version was a joke..
opera mini 6 rocks!! although it does'nt have flash support yet but looking forward for it.. as of the moment let's just enjoy the latest web browser and man this is smooth.. for me this is easier to navigate and can access more websites and better display (I think this cover's everything) comapare to safari..
mark, 25 May 2011but why would you want a second rate browser on your iphone. when you have safari. bit like... moreDoes Safari have text reflow? Last I checked it doesn't, whereas Opera browsers do. Safari is over-hyped like a polished turd.
mark, 25 May 2011but why would you want a second rate browser on your iphone. when you have safari. bit like... moreThree things. 1. For people on limited plans, Opera uses a hell of a lot less data traffic(i.e. saves money). 2. Not everyone would agree with you. Check how many Opera d/loads on iTunes. 3. Choice.
Opera Mini doesn't use all of phone source and it was built for speed but flash was heavy. Flash is responsibility of Opera Mobile. If it comes in Mini, i think it would take a long time.
Although i don't have any iPhone but it's great to know that Opera team did a great job on the iPhone version of Opera Mini browser and works well.
I love Opera Mini. :-)
wow,am usin it ryt now.feels lyk a more faster safari.because of its smootheness its just like an improved safari. flash would have been great too.one thing i hsve noticed about ios is the fsct that every app works better and smoother on it. android can never beat that.
