angry jeffrey, 30 May 2011This fone is older than pyramids. What is the point of updates on it? Btw well done sony again...The point is that there still people with this phone in the market, not everyone can buy another phone between 6 and 6 months, this mentality is stupid. It's good to see that Sony Ericsson haven't abandoned their older users even with a new flagship on the market like you see from other manufacturers.
they could at least made it an update to froyo so people can have flash player and move their apps....

I don't get it, why they make 2.1.something update if they say that there will be 2.3.3, I think that this 2.1.something is waste of time, that they could spend on 2.3.3 update, now I still can't update phone, but I don't expect 16M color support or 8Mp 16:9 photos, because, now, 8Mp 4:3 photos aren't so good, my previous phone (Elm with 5Mp) made (I think) quite better quality photos :)
i wonder is this the major update to just making X10 ready for the 2.3?
any way it's great that X10 still getting action ^_^
i know the reason..., 30 May 2011it's very good that SE is offering updates to its rather old device.
but I don't think that... moreDude could you pls help me. I am facing a major problems
#1 My Mediascape does not display any of my Photos or Music. it was waorking fine but suddenly everything vanished all of a sudden. I have fried rebooting but to no avail.
#2 My X10 does not get charged. Even when I leave it on charge for hrs it shows 2% remaining. Besides the Green light does not come up while on charge yet it shows a lightning bolt sign while on charge.
P.S. It is one year old

it's very good that SE is offering updates to its rather old device.
but I don't think that SE is doing this out of pure kindness, but mainly because there are many countries in which x10 is still the only major sony ericsson device being sold - the arc/neo/neo pro/play haven't arrived yet... so SE is doing this to keep it's only main device competitive.
and another thing: at the time arc and neo arrives to these countries, they would be obsolete - because devices like samsung GS2 would be already available...
so sony ericsson shouldn't be surprised if its selling a lot fewer than the competition!
and remember that SE still has no device with a dual core + 1080p video capture device...
they should be faster with their development and release of models. now they are not competitive enough - and this is the reason why SE has poor business results!
Maybe this update is essential prior to the release of Gingerbread (2.3.3) for Xperia X10. This update is not yet available in Saudi Arabia though.
First and cool man i love the xperia x10 and i have it another update would be great but a major one would be better
