clingy, 01 Jun 2011if the tablet cant be function without the phone, then it's worthlessthats the whole point of docking ur phone in the tablet. tablet with brain is meaningless. get the point??? since when u travel without your phone??? it also act as extra batt for your phone. is a brilliant idea!!! if only they can make the phone to 8mm and tablet 10mm, with all usb, hdmi, and +++++
clingy, 31 May 2011if the tablet cant be function without the phone, then it's worthlessActually that´s what makes it attractive to me, i don´t want two android devices, i don´t want my info scattered like that (also the price would be a factor), this device seems ideal to me so i can take the phone for everyday use and by the end of the day i can come home, plug it in the tablet to read comics, books etc. I don´t want a tablet, just a bigger screen in my phone sometimes.
Get real!, 31 May 2011No, not 2 devices in 1 but rather 1 Android device and a large accessory item. :) I don't s... moreYes you're right... tethering and VOIP services kinda make this, very innovative and cool idea, completely obsolete. And a laptop is, at the same price range, a far more functional device...
i m YATIN SHAH from india ... i have a mobile /Gadget showroom(MOBILE GALLERY) in my country .....i this this is the product that i like most because we can call & surf on big screen at the same time & carry 2 product at the same time . i love this product i want it but i know when its launch
arf, 31 May 2011iphone + ipad = padphone. some lawyers in apple HQ will surely look into it.They wont look into it because anyone can call something a pad i dont believe its trade marked, but puting an i in front of the pad word is the problem that is trade marked
Stevan, Belgrade, 31 May 2011Asus is known (to me) for low build quality equipment. You've never owned an ASUS computer. They make some of be best computers out there imo. The mobile market is still pretty new for them, but considering their first major android device is one of the most wanted tablets out there right now, that's saying something. They're a very respectable company.
Panacea, 31 May 2011Excellents ! Its amazing how ASUS brought the 2 seperate devices into one and this is a doorwa... moreNo, not 2 devices in 1 but rather 1 Android device and a large accessory item. :)
I don't see much sense in this concept since my laptop doesn't need much more space than the tablet dock but it can function without the phone and I still can tether the phone to my laptop in case I want to.
Stevan, Belgrade, 31 May 2011Asus is known (to me) for low build quality equipment.asus laptops has lowest repair rate after 5 yrs. It is ahead of toshiba and macbooks!! HP has highest repair rate LOL
This is just a simply brilliant idea by ASUS.. And far more practical then having 2 seperate devices, and cheaper id guess!
It's an amazing idea, not a remake of what Motorola did but infact they have seen that the problem with tablets is they are sometimes too big and the problem with phones is the screens can be too small and having both just feels pointless. This is the perfect compramise and will mean that your tablet and phone can hold the same info!!
iphone + ipad = padphone.
some lawyers in apple HQ will surely look into it.
