The best phone out there but the comment section is hilarious. Samsung Note8 for $1000 over this is good? Bootloop comment is like saying Note8 too will burn like 7, this thing holding value over Samsung? Sony is playing safe this year, Note8 doesn't seem that innovative and Apple is yet to unveil so the phone with f1.6, dual cam, dac, multimedia creation package, oled, SD835, ml and Ip certification etc from a respectable brand is not worth excitement? Biased we all are and unwilling to accept anything that doesn't have a label of Aplle or Samsung or Sony on it seriously. V30 is better but yeah Note8 is the king no matter what right? Let's forget innovation and focus on products from two top tier brands only. Peace
Anonymous, 02 Sep 2017U said the price is too high, then u ask why anyone would get this over the Note 8??!Because there is at least reasoning and good sales and promotions to make those ones worth the price over this.
Anonymous, 02 Sep 2017U said the price is too high, then u ask why anyone would get this over the Note 8??!If you're willing to spend that much money I don't know why you wouldn't get those other, better phones.
Just wait a couple of months and the price will drop to $449 ;)
Get it when its cheap.
Bahahaha love the two faced readers here:
V30 launched: "take my money!"
V30 pricing released: "RIP LG!"
Anonymous, 02 Sep 2017That price is too high. Why would someone get this thing over an S8+, or Note 8?U said the price is too high, then u ask why anyone would get this over the Note 8??!
That price is too high. Why would someone get this thing over an S8+, or Note 8?
Anonymous, 02 Sep 2017Its dramatically far from the best camera.
The audio sounds great and should be amazing. But ... moreWeak camera. Saying without review?
Same for best screen...
Then it should make sense that note 8 is gonna go kaboom.... literally and figuratively
Anonymous, 01 Sep 2017Paying $750 for bootloops is plain crazy!! Wake up man, my 3 years old G2 still works well. So stop all these sarcastic comments, mate.
Oathbreaker, 02 Sep 2017No need for me to upgrade this year. I was considering iPhone 8 but thinking both the Note9 an... moreI agree next year will definitely be a good year to upgrade.
Things like LPP 10nm, Arm 75/55, mali g2, new adreno, possible 7nm, and whatever new tech. Even Sony looks to be getting back into the game. Nokia is sort of back. In teh next year or two there will actually be some big oled releases. Where and when they hit the mobile market is not known.
But Two years from now with the S10/Note10. I expect to see a few strides.
Ah, much more reasonable price unlike LG G6 with only a SNAPDRAGON 821 that cost almost the same when just released
Another great smartphone from lg, but it will probably suffer the same fate as previous lg flagships with horrible release schedule
It will be very interesting to see how this V30 become a main chalenger for Note 8. With 150$ cheaper price, V30 is definetely a solid buy.
Mohammed Habra, 02 Sep 2017This is the Best smartphone in 2017 ... Goodbye Samsung .. Goodbye Sony .. I've found the best... moreGood luck with mono speaker, small pixel cam with old sensor.
Hope your phone does not have burn in like the G line.
Even their tablets have dual speakers.
But no phone has..
kevin97, 02 Sep 2017I think it's a fair price. I just hope it will be no more than 750 EUR in Europe...but I am pr... moreOh yes sadly it will probably going to be sold around 800 euro as here phones are always more expensive. I hope not though, the V30 rocks. Still much cheaper than the note8 which is 999 euro here.
I think it's a fair price. I just hope it will be no more than 750 EUR in Europe...but I am probably dreaming :)
[deleted post]Even as soon as March. Happened to the V20. It was $400 very briefly from T-Mobile. I ended up getting my V20 for $530 (tax included) in May. Just wait a couple months to save a couple hundred bucks.
I like the design and the display doesn't look like crap this time but nah. I don't like iOS but the gesture control that I wanted back in 2013 using Nova Prime + All-In-One Gestures on my HTC One M7. Apple might be headed somewhere with it, AR, and advanced facial recognition.
So just save some cash and wait for the iPhone 8s or whatever they call it next year. By then, the Note9 and 8s will feature the fingerprint sensor on the display. The iPhone 8 is just a guinea pig until better refinements with their s models.
Will likely go Pixel 3 or iPhone 8s next year. From a software standpoint, neither Samsung or LG age well thanks to their Android skin. LG isn't known for longevity and durability. Stick to Nokia or Motorola for that.
No need for me to upgrade this year. I was considering iPhone 8 but thinking both the Note9 and iPhone 8s will feature the fingerprint sensor on the display. Just a waste of a grand.
The Nokia 8 probably won't arrive in my country through a carrier. The Pixel 2 is more of the same. And this V30 will be $750 initially before dropping to $400 in 2-3 months.
LG = Ross Dress For Less
Brand name clothes but immediate discount because of the hidden flaws.
2018 is the year to upgrade and even then, I wouldn't notice a difference from my 2016 phones.
