Same here, the voice call does not appear, and even after downloading 3rd party dialer initiating the call give a "telephony not supported on this device".
How do you get the tab to call with UI shown in the images of this article?

Hi All,
Please can you let me know the 3rd Party application that can be downloaded at the Android Market that can enable Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 to make GSM calls with it. Just got one but feel disappointed it does not support GSM calls.

Bluff people one. Cannot make phone call lah. Now end up I have to carry another phone around to make phone call. Wonder why then dun integrate phone function in Tabs?

I was about to pull the trigger on a Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 - purely for its phone capabilites. Now I see that the 8.9 can make voice calls - great news.

One question, you mention that you loaded a third party dialling app - what is it??
