I bought this mobile a week ago and I noticed that problem with my s2 also, I was surprised to face something like this indeed, thought that I'm the only one in the world to have this problem in such a device wich got the best ranking in the most professional sites and magazines, but really I surpeised after surfing the web that many many users faced the same with their devices also, and I really want to know: How come that the most experts in the world did not notice this problem before saying that it is the best in 2011?

i have this yellow tint problem too. i assume that it is a power distribution issue. its the hardware's voltage injection problem. as we all know, color white on AMOLEd displays comsumes the most power. and therefore, if the voltage input to that display is insufficient, other part of your screen will suffer a slight dicolouration.
i have proven this by putting the brightness to fullest and that green display discoloration is gone... this can be fixed by samsung on the next update/patch update to increase voltage injection to the screen to elliminate if not minimize the discoloration effect.

not slight - my galaxy2's yellow lower left quarter is aggressively noticable - and there's a matrix green tinge permeating the whole screen as well - not good for an otherwise fantasmo gadget. this better be ELF'd!!!!

4 weeks old and in the last 5days my screen looks like its being invaded day by day getting worse. it started in top right hand corner and now it has inundated a quarter of my screen. it's. like this on every page and thing I do. I don't. care why this is happening, all I want to know is can it be fixed to the point of it not happening again. Also has anybody else noticed how hot the battery gets?

Oh yes, this phone is awesome except for the display problem. Mine also has this yellow tint issue. I did not notice about it even though some people have been complaining about their phones. Only after two weeks having this phone, I started noticing it while reading e-book, because the background was white and I always set the brightness to the lowest level. I notice it better than looking at gray background.
However, yellow tint is not the only issue. Some people complain about bleeding. Mine does not have bleeding, and hopefully once my phone is back (it's still at the service center), it won't have another issue. Because, I agree that yellow tint is not a deal-breaker. But going to service center every two days can be really annoying.

I assure you all, the yellow tint is there. Its quite noticeable when your viewing a webpage with a white background and to have the screen self dim itself.

well, I have heard many complaints of this particular model, but I have experienced none of them. it's really a magnificent device, and seems like people are intentionally TRYING to find faults. yeah, bad battery life, oh really? huge 4.3" display and a monster GPU plus a dual core processor. what else could you expect? also on this part my unit have performed brilliantly. battery lasts long enough for me, and I can charge it using the Nokia DC-11 travel charger if I have to. no problems, officer.
