It's not quite a comment but explanation i just bought 6500 slide the light sensor is not blinking since is there any problem? for how can i know that my phone is working

i was fan of nokia before purchasing 6500s.i am still surprising how nokia can manufacture such dreadful phone.i purchased it on 10may2008.i used only 5 days & found many display problem in video.i took it to nokia care centre thrice time but failed.
