Doing something more profound like editing videos for example the Bionic chip can do the job faster and thus a better chip to have for productivity.
Anonymous, 16 Sep 2017Maybe so but who can afford $$$700 for iPhone 8 is not affordable
But $ 1000 for Note 8 magically is affordable
Maybe, but it is wasted! At least Samsung have tried to harness the power of their S series devices with the DeX dock. Most iPhones are bought by young people or wealthy immigrants as a status symbol and used for social media, a total waste. At least on a Note8 thanks to the S-Pen and customizable nature of Android you can be productive.
its so funny, before android users would say, iphone is so slow with their single core, dual core CPU and 1GB of ram, when will they catch up with android.
now that iphone has blown away their octa core cpu, 6gb or ram, android users say, i think those scores are fake, lets see real life usage, who does benchmarks now a day...
the only thing android users can now say to iphone is, it does not have expandable storage, the design is ugly, the price is expensive, the bezels are ugly...
reality is, iphones is much faster than any android units with only 6 cores CPU, 2-3GB of ram, longer software support 2013 to current units, each new iOS version installed to an old iphone makes it "feel new" hardware will stay the same but the OS experience will change hence the feeling of a new unit.
i wonder what new faults will android users troll on the iphone...
Nothing new. Apple's SoC design amlng with their tight Os/driver integration leaves everything else in the dust.

The supposition regarding the dominance of x86 aside, the fact that you bring up QUANTUM computing in the same breathe...just shouts you're ignorance in this topic.
Marcell, 16 Sep 2017Intel's team of CPU-design is at least 10 times greater than Apple's. The x86 instruction set ... moreI'm quite sure Apple can if they want to. But it's not in their blood to give the consumers everything at once. If they did, people would't have to upgrade as much and that would mean less money for them.
Intel hasn't really done much in the recent years because their main rival, AMD, wasn't really that much of a competition. Hopefully now that they are threatened by Ryzen and a puny mobile processor, they'll wake up and make a proper processor.

Nice score..but it just a score and secondary things to look, the main is let see how it will perform in real life...real usage
Benchmark scores are good and all but who runs benchmark apps all the time? The thing which matters the most is app opening times and Android phones are really fast at that
Put snapdragon 835 on iphone x, then we can see blazing high score geekbench
Whatever a featurephone achieve in benchmarks it can never be better than the smartphone, so here a featurephone topped a petty benchmarks test and made primitive people so happy!!
Well done apple, you know how to make people happy with shit!! Oops iShit🎃
