the comment above is a lame reason...lol...of android outcompeting nokia (windows/symbian) and apples (ios).

why are nokia and apple being compared to android?...lol. nokia is a cel manufacturer. apple is now a cel manufacturer. windows is an operating system. android is an operating system. so the comparison should be between windows/ios vs android.

in reference to the transformer movies, nokia smartphones were shown in the movies such as the n93i and x7-00.

im inclined to believe them

still, this will be a great cameraphone
only, its in japan for now (and will probably stay there)
im not saying it wont be better than n8, evolution will bring better cameraphones... but i suppose this will have optics from low end panasonic cameras, which are not so good...

Most of Android's core codes are infringing on so many patents and copyrighted materials , And just like apple is paying royalties to Nokia and Htc to Microsoft GOOGLE will pay for lots of people when they get in court with Nokia-Microsoft-Java(Oracle) and probably Apple too.

Umm... as others have prob' already pointed out, the NOKIA N8 has a 28mm wide angle lens and video stabilization.
I don't doubt this will be a good cameraphone though.

this looks really interesting. I really like (ie own and use) panasonic point and shoot digital cameras. they take good pictures even if operator is less than skilled. I prefer a solid camera over smart phone functionality. Avoiding a camera is preferable to avoiding a dedicated gaming device for me. xman
