Bigger people with big fingers and thumbs need track pack if they want to press something at a specific spot. For example, you want to delete something if you misspelled something or use the track pad to click on a specific link in a cluttered area.

Even on the demo, the touch screen looks slow. Camera is the same as last years, No MP increase. No dual core and 768 MB RAM for a £500.00 phone? Wonder why you're issuing profit warnings RIM? You need to shape up. Fast.
