Technically 3.9G not 4G as LTE Advanced hasn't been released/deployed anywhere yet.

This should give rise to a compilation of sorts with the nomenclatures of all major mobile manufacturer's explained this way. An article worthy of being bookmarked !!!

HTC has factories in China as well, they're just HTC's factories, not outsourced like Apple's (Foxconn etc.) so they can keep a closer eye on them.

I'll just be happy if they launch a phone that isn't touch screen and has a camera of 5mp or more......you know, the type they used to make before they went touch screen crazy.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-08-15 01:42 from 4@3x - click to readretina is no better than amoled or superamoled, i work with all mobiles and these screens are by far the best in all light conditions and also drain the least battery. Forget manafacture. besides all screens will come away from these technologys in a few years for graphene screens ... cheap and better quality and fully flexible.

> In reply to Peter @ 2011-08-14 22:46 from 4vt} - click to readJust good to know info. HTC is "High Tech Computer Corporation". Considering your claim that the quality is Substandard. HTC was named the "Device Manufacturer of the Year" for 2011 by the GSMA at the Mobile World Congress on 16 February 2011. In addition to this... Their first major product was made in 2000 and was one of the world's first touch screen smartphones.. Good to research a little more prior to making statements.

Shit 'naming system' no where near the comprehensiveness of that of nokia's new naming system.Seriously there is no big difference with the former....

well makes sense. coz all S R W M and Y are not the initial of their competitor. Blackberry Nokia Apple LG HTC.
What? Motorola? oh.. is that even a considered competitor?

> In reply to [deleted post]Samsung only gives competition. Healthy competition is only given when they come up with innovations of their own. When theft is involved, it is just dirty competition.

you people bash samsung company every now and then
let's see, how many gadgets or appliances with the name Samsung do you have in your houses or the one you use?
If they weren't samsung, how many of them do have a samsung part inside?
so what if they will have a new naming scheme that nokia did earlier?
at least their naming scheme is allot better to understand given the letters they stand for.
i owned a lot of phone from different manufacturers and hey, they do really have their ups and downs, so what if the phone is made of cheap plastic? at least it won't shatter from a high fall? so what if they release a number of phones every year? at least they cater for more sectors of consumers? blah blah.. so on and on and on..
i just wonder if everyone isn't unique.
