eddman, 23 Aug 2011Come on!! ppi is the one that matters. Answer this: which one is better? 1280 x 720 on 25 inch... moreYeah. And the Belle browser is so much better than the Opera Mobile. Starting by design and navigation, Belle Browser also is better on speed and supports 6 NEW TABS! I remember that the Opera Mobile supports 3 and close without you do it.

ipad 1 has 256 mb ram too, so I guess it must be shitty at browsing, right?
Have you ever tried opera mobile on a symbian^3 phone?
Have you guys thought that it could be a 3D phone? I mean the structure of the timer points to it, especially that it's in 3D.
Belle might be announced but there's something else up Nokia's sleeves. :)
Wow! I thought I still need to wait till next year for this. Just a couple of days and I'll have Belle. This is fantastic news. Thanks Nokia!
The Boy with Red Hat, 22 Aug 2011Sincerely I don't know and don't care :P for web browsing I use laptop/Netbook/Desktop or Pad ... moreA phone is way more mobile than a laptop, PC, netbook or tablet. I generally have my phone with me where ever I may be, but not those other devices. It is definitely nice to be able to browse the internet without having to go home to my PC/laptop or have to plan ahead an ensure I carry around my tablet or netbook. I would generally not bring a tablet/netbook with me unless I know for sure I will want to do some browsing. Even so, a netbook or tablet is bulkier than a phone and sometimes I don't want to bring such a bulky device with me.
Symbian Belle would be a good OS if they could bring the developers back
But I think it will never happen since st*pid Elop killed Symbian...
something must have knocked nokia in the head.suddenly they are releasing updates like mozilla vs chrome lol..
TC, 22 Aug 2011Does Belle have text reflow in the webbrowser?, if not it still is unusable for browsing the web!Sincerely I don't know and don't care :P for web browsing I use laptop/Netbook/Desktop or Pad with 3G USB Unlimited plan....
For me web browsing from a Phone is pointless and useless, unless you like to strain your eyes and soon use lens :D
Well, Symbian Anna is nothing compared to belle. Let's home this will be an update for N8 as well.
Whoa.... Nokia still can raise really passionate declarations.... Just put a POST with the four letters and bam!!!!... lots of comments...

Only 256 mb ram is not enough for browsing the web smoothly!

Santanu Dey, 22 Aug 2011You are not seeing the numbers etched on the screen.. you are watching pictures, videos etc...... moreOhh!!! I forgot.....
Another way to find out your sub-pixels....
Try to look in the screen from 1 mm or less.... perhaps then you can really tell... :P
Nikotiko, 22 Aug 2011I was talking about RESOLUTION and Pixels Per Inch. Not anything else.

Sub-pixels???? good one...
Tell you one thing.... in order to see the effect of sub-pixels, you need to enlarge the image so much, you wouldn't even care....it is PR gig... all companies do..
If you really want to know why your Samsung display looks crisp.. it is because it has "0" background leakage .. (that means Black is really black, not 99% black)..

Yeah, sure it is comparable, but I'm pretty sure GSII's screen has more subpixels and it looks sharper than HTC Sensation's screen (which has qHD resolution).
Nikotiko, 22 Aug 2011Belle should have been 3 years ago. Late? Nope.3 years?!!! How about 8 years!! LOL
nokia 4 life, 22 Aug 2011okay check this videos and guys to all nokia apple androids fans 360x640 vs 400x800 and 540x95... moreYour point, once again?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2 and it outperforms every other device on the market right now. Including your beloved N8. And the whole Nokia lineup.
