The E7 looks and sounds fake. It looks too much like the E6 on the sides and the D-Pad looks a bit 'iffy'

C'mon Moto, hope Moto's ppl can read all of the comments.
And E7 will be a reality. Many ppl are waiting...specially from Asian market.
If they really release E7, I believe that Moto phone sale will increase next year. Sorry for my bad English.

The specs are not that hyped, this is exactly the kind of phones we will see in 2008.
as a poster here said, his sony gives the same camera specs in 9mm thin body, and motorolas CMOS and optics will be of less quality and could therefore be made even thinner, so you could fit a large display on the opposite side. Plus the fact the phone cubic volume is much larger.
The question is who will release there super(smart)phone first, SonyEricsson or Motorola (cause the LG i don't care much for, and it doesnt feature optical zoom). The SE's screen will be of less size and resolution, but the phone will feature a real keypad, and probably better optics (with the cost of a few extra milimeters in thickness). The motorola will look better but with much less battery playtime. The SE will probably not feature a built in GPS, but the GPS handsfree will take care of that. The SE will be the top of the line of their cybeshot-models, hence don't feature their latest walkman-player. So music might be better on the Motorola.

Hey guy's here is the answer for ur questions....Remember that photoshopped picture of an alleged Motorola E7 with those crazy specs? Well, the pic was obviously a fake, but the feature set is what piques our interest. Speculation has Motorola prepping a phone with the same or similar specifications in a new line of super-secret ELBA handsets. The ELBA handsets are a top-secret new lineup of mobile phones from Motorola that should have full touch-sensitive keypads and slim form-factors - a la the Nokia AEON concept phone.
Boy Genius has learned that the troubled mobile phone manufacturer is quietly prepping a Nokia N95-fighter. The new handset will be packing 3G, WiFi, GPS, full-touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera (Schneider-Kreuznach optics, please), and a full VGA display. The rumored ELBA handset is kept under the strictest, Apple-worthy lockdown and doesn’t even leave the testing labs. If it’s more than just hearsay, Motorola should be keeping this thing under wraps - when it launches it’ll be that much more amazing.
And, in a recent conference, Motorola CFO Tom Meredith sated that Motorola is aiming to retake its share of the wireless market with devices that feature WiFi and touchscreen. Hmm, coincidence? Maybe not.
We’re eagerly awaiting the next-generation lineup from Motorola - they were once the shining beacon of innovation in the wireless industry, let’s see if they can do it again.

I would say Moto Rokr series is the best music phone. No doubt about it.Especially my Rokr E2.I have compared my E2 with Walkman n Express Music series and my Rokr beated 'em all in terms of sound quality.Moto rules the music phone.

only way for e7 to be true is that's it is NOT a moto phone. why shd we start to think moto can get their act together after so long?
e8 does look interesting. but then i wonder what is going to make it a rokr? just the funny looking keys? i dun care abt that.

Liquid, its different for a digital camera and for a phone. Your camera is only used for photos and videos, the ROKR phones are multimedia phones, If you camera had the ability to make phone calls and BT and all that other stuff in phones now, it would be alot thicker as well.

It quite probably is a hoax, but, my sony dsc t9 is only 9mm thick and packs 3x optical zoom! So you could certainly fit it in 14mm ;-)

with all those specifications, ROKR E7 is definitely a hoax. any type type of optical zoom requires a lot of space and it cant be incorporated in mere 14 mm. this is just a fantasy ;)

finally motorola back to the nature, producing the quality phone, not just some suck rizr, razr, rozr and any other zr, which have a very good design but very sucks in specification.
I hope this handset true and will be released soon. What motorola must do just open their eyes. look up your customer. your razr era is already end, and you must make other innovation than just building some design phone with same spec for every period. others are in front of them now.
for trully, from my experience using siemens, nokia, sonny ericsson and motorola, i like motorola more. but somehow recently they produce phone with up to date design but out of date specs. im a music lover, and think that motorola better for this department than others. but, because in the other department they are sucks, i change my mind to use se right now.
if e7 will be come true, and i think i will back to motorola. I like their design, and with a specs like e7, it will be a very great replacement for me..
regards
albert
