If you get a new phone beginning of the year when the "new wave" of phones are announced, i.e. like the Galaxy S2 - you know that that phone will last you EASILY 2 years and not be beaten for at least a year... I got a GS2 for FREE on contract (try doing that with the latest iphone) and it will easily last 2 years and then time to upgrade... I think now we've seen all the major things a phone can do, sure processing power can be increased, blah blah blah but now Android (and iOS) is as 'slick' as it's going to get... updates from now on aren't going to be felt anywhere near as much I reckon...

I'm about ready to migrate to iPhone. I know the OS is just an app tray, but it's not as glitchy and I know I'll have the best of iOS for a year. When I spend over $200 on a phone, I want to be satisfied for a good while.

Might be a stupid question but will this be compatible with the lapdock that came out with the first Atrix???

Maybe it's just me, but I just can't get my head around trusting Motorola after their woeful updates of previous Android phones... (basically lying) saying they'll update them, then not and leaving so many people in the lurch...
Maybe when Google's bought them out fully and gives them a swift kick in the behind... maybe...

What you previously presented as Atrix 2 lacked a fingerprint scanner. I can't see if this phone has one, but I doubt Motorola will make the new Atrix without that great feature.

just gets something that can be upgradeable in the future like IOS. Android only allows you to go 1 step forward.
