Buy the phone somewhere as unlocked from any of these legalized crooks; I've been doing that for 15 years without any problems and mysteriously inflated billing!

Also, when you travel, just pop in the sim of your choice, EASY!

why does at&t continue to get the lion's share of the good phones? They have crappy customer service, slow networks and the absolute worst, overpriced plans. My cousin has to watch her data like a retarded baby stuck in a tree, so she doesn't go over 2gb with her iphone4. It's like the bigger the douchebag the company is, the more customers they get. I guess that's why at&t and apple are beasting right now. Don't get me wrong; apple makes quality products, but dealing with the genius when something goes wrong can be both tiresome and extremely costly.
