And to the people who commented about insufficient ROM - N1 has 512mb rom, that's enough for ICS, and Google could enable app installation on the EXT partition of the SD card.

> In reply to Device Fukker @ 2011-10-27 10:25 from fCL@ - click to readCan u tell me what ICS bring newly to the phones ?
everything is same as gingerbread
samsung touchwiz can resize widgets , u can edit photos or panorama with help of photography apps in market.
shorcut camera is there even on iOS 5 which runs on 3gs.

Internet performance may not be much difference since if u used opera before u wont find anything difference in ICS default browser.

What is a new feature which works good ? face recognization doesnt work in darker areas during night time and demo too failed .

i dont understand whats really so excitement about iOS 5 or ICS ? jailbroken iphones can do everything what iOS 5 do and u can add new lockscreens and themes using jailbroken iphones.

both failed epic in my opinion iOS 5 and ICS .
Nothing new except some rings and bells to fool people.

What will android users or iOS users say ? they say "we rooted/jailbroke the phones to get features".

I like iOS and android equally its like best of both worlds , iOS battery life is far more better than any android out there. Customization is good on android like widgets and live-wallpapers etc etc.

i am familiar with iphone 4 and galaxy s2 nothing new from iOS 5 apart from cloud and also ICS will be same.
Nothing new but a candy-eye-popping name and look.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-10-27 09:16 from 0aJ% - click to readi agree with you, somebody bashing google and comparing ics to ios5 without knowing reasons....
1)google has already told us that only 1 year old devices will be getting ics,512 mb ram and 1ghz is enough to run ics but it needs approximately 1GB of ROM
2)"1 year old devices" doesn't mean that every 1 yr old devices will get ics officially ..
3)if iphone 3gs getting ios5 ,its not because of greatness of apple, but its because of its(ios) nature to be in the same of 80 percentage, and also there is no difficulties to take care of one phone model...but google cant even count the devices
but android brings the new features, passing through the great changes so it needs more resources, they can't bring new changes to os without taking more resources..its cosmic law of nature ..ios series just doing the time pass...
1 eg:could you play the crysis on old pc,or even you can't put windows 7 on old pc having 512 mb ram ..why dont have the problem with that idiots???
so blaming ics is ridiculous and meaningless in the case of resources

I had never really seen this Nexus One...woo what a design ! So Sad it's the only Android with this kind of design (even if the Amaze is maybe somewhere near that). Simple and beautiful. I don't really like HTC design (but they have one of the greatest build quality) but here...it's beautiful.

To all of you saying that old Android phones should support ICS just because the iPhone 3GS is still supported, you need to take some things into consideration.

Just because iOS has reached version 5.0 does not mean that it's received the same amount of updated features as Android during it's path to ICS. Android has come a LONG way over the past couple of years, whereas iOS has remained 80% the same. These major improvements to Android simply require more resources.

This is coming from an iPhone user by the way. Apple really needs to step their shit up.

Guys Htc Google Nexus One will not get the update because of lack of Rom not Ram... Rom is read only memory which means it is the internal storage of devices and the Rom of Nexus One is only 512mb that's why it is not enough to get the android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich... Nexus S on the other hand have same specs. like nexus one but have front facing camera and 16gb internal storage hope you understand and make this clear to all of us even me I have Nexus One right now sad to see and read this news...

What i know is : ICS will now go to ''dual-core CPU'' phones.. so they can handle it.. any phone without dual-core CPU can't handle ICS... so in the future if u tried to install ICS "not offical update" on your phone.. say "Bye Bye My Phone" it's will start freezing etc.. ICS = DUAL CORE CPU

Utter crap. I still use a motorola milestone, and it is half of the nexus one probably. 550 Mhz, 256 MB ram. The same class with Apple (3GS) got the newest update and it even gained a little speed. This is exactly why i'm never getting android again.

If Google Nexus S can handle ICS then HTC Incredible S can handle it better. HTC please release it sooner than later please.
