In case LG do not update this device, I'm sure that there is hope for current owners of this phone in the form of custom roms. Besides the hardware is very good indeed.

Just get Cyanogenmod to your 2X (Soon available for 3D).
You'll currently get Gingerbread 2.3.7 which is the latest Gingerbread release.
No doubt they'll release 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as well.

It's shocking!
Google.....show your authority and perform your duty before it's too late.
Android could be destroyed by those concerned.
Apple could be jeering and laughing right now.

It's the manufacturer's fault that it doesn't support the phone. Not Android's!

If LG hasn't contribute Ice-cream 4.0 to P990 and P920 ,LG will be closed by himself about mobile-market.
It is not smart to lack of supporting hi-end mobile phone under your brand. It is pointed that LG has lack of efficient and ability to fight in smartphone market.

Do not go by LG's comments on FB and Twitter. The just post without having any solid information. Even a week before Gingerbread was released for the LG Optimus one, the LG India FB page was saying that the update will not come for the phone. Really pathetic customer relationship management.

This is stupid, why won't ""THE"" Worlds First dual-core smart phone be upgraded to ICS. Not an LG user, but I really think LG's not giving Justice to their own 2X... Bad Lg! Bad!!!

LG don't have a clue technically, so am I really suprised?! A friend of mine was told by their techincal support department that he should download files for his phone on his PC using Internet Explorer rather than Firefox becuase the file would sonehow be different!! They tried to use that as an excuse why the zip file they pointed him to wouldn't work on his phone. So am I suprised they can not get anything else right technically!!??
