Those of you who shrugs away the masterpeice which the iPhone is must just wait in the doldrums because in Apple We Trust! Let the competition try and release the same design & look for a product and watch them scatter around for clientel like lost puppies.

The masters at work at Apple are fully aware of the so called "competition" and are not bardged at all to "iPhone 10" or whatever, why is that, ask yourself?!

What I said was meant as friendly advice, but you seem to think it was a personal attack on you. The fact of the matter is that cameras on phones are a novelty, yes they fit in your pocket and you can take decent pictures on them, but any professional photographer will know you won't get the same effect unless you use a proper camera. At the end of the day, these devices are phones first, and everything else second.

App store was already announced and ulitised on Nokia's ovi. All Apple has done is integrate the widely successful iPod touch and phone functionality into one device but to be honest, phones had media capabilities years before then. Apple's iPod were the real revolutionaries. The only innovation Apple has come up with in their original iPhone design is multi-touch and hence allowed the ability to pinch-zoom.

Hi guys join the winning team as much as apple claims to be genuine & innovative most times it's not the case.

When a beautiful sports car gets launched wouldn't it be kind of loser talk to say "boring! Henry Ford designed the car years ago!" lol.

The most recent example is GarageBand announced for iPhone. You now can plug in your guitar add backtracks, vocals, and record a song on your mobile phone! That's a whole recording studio in your pocket :)

iPhone and Apple products are obviously not for everyone, but they sure are compelling to many. Enjoy your tech whatever it may be.

Are you serious?! look back to iphone 2g and what kinda phones were around when that came out, then look a year on....not see every over company jumping on the band wagon and chasing Apple! just as they are now! Every Company see Apple as a huge threat hence all this legal crap!

Oh yeh and i use a GS2 before you deem me a Apple Fan boy. im just not afraid to admit what Apple has given everyone else back in the day!

It has always been like thia in phoneindustry. Like in 80s when Nokia broke Motorolas patents on purpose and later got away with it. Now not long ago the Androis manufacters were all ready to pay parts of their profits to microsoft because they knew that android had from the start broke some major microsoft patents. A while back Apple paid for Nokia and stopped their patent war. Why? because they had to know that they will lose in the end. It will always be light this in phoneindustry. When a competitor has a better tecnology other companys will brake their patents if there is a change they will get away with it.

Why do the iFans keep acting as if Apple genuinely created something new? Apple/Jobs were good at creating a market demand for a product they redesigned which was created by someone else.

GUI - first created by Xerox.
Touchscreen - Nokia & LG had them earlier. It was actually invented in 1965
iPad - Microsoft created tablets earlier
iOS - Android is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from iOS, because it is A LINUX FORK, not some code ripped of from Apple (a considerable part of Apple's OSes are derived from open source, particularly BSD).

So what the hell exactly is Apple whining about? That someone managed to catch up with them in a market they created? GET OVER YOURSELVES AND ADMIT YOU'VE GOT REAL COMPETITION TO FACE!

I'm sure Samsung used to produce good phones (heard SGS2 was not bad), but that's history, technology moves fast, and they have to design things themselves now I hear.

What I know for a fact is that most iPhone4 users (also friends that I know) have switched to Samsung SGS 2.

I'm sure that iPhone4 were good, but that's history, as technology move on fast.

Those who are well-off and can afford high-end products will not compromise for a cheaper "faster, brighter, slimmer" product version. it's like comparing a Merc to a Ford Focus, no metter how slick or stunning it may look, it can never outclass a Merc.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2011-11-01 17:59 from 3cE4 - click to readSo, if iOS is a rip off of Android, how come Android bursted into life a year after iOS. And if Apple is buying components from Samsung and making better phones doesn't mean it's copying. Samsung on the other hand is making a clear attempt to copy from iPhone 4s source code by asking for it. Maybe they'll finally make a Galaxy MMCX that can compete in pixel density, camera or fluidity and optimization of the OS

Cheers !

i guess it all boils down to preference .. knowing how apple started the standards of touch screen phones, and hearing a few clues of samsung ceo's saying they will avoid future infrigements we already know who's wrong here .. and lets face the truth .. almost everything is panned out to asia for assembly coz thats where the lower labor cost are .. but it doesn't mean the whole invention is made there .. how many other products are invented in the US and made in china?? samsung is obviously another one.. so cut the samsung crap .. andoid and open source is too much freedom.. it puts you to some security holes as well.. your preference.. choose wisely ..--icrap
