relly nokia its a so same 4 u i thnk android markert domn ur symbian u knw ur all version are same like 6600 to n8 all features r same :(
dany, 23 Nov 2011meego is an open source. everybody can get the code (that means samsung too). they just have to ask.yeah. it's partially open since the intel part is distributed freely.
The Maemo 6 base operating system of nokia is intact in this MeeGo/Harmattan OS. I doubt Nokia will share it for free.
Nokia Lumia 800, I abandon to buy this expensive gadget for two reason: No FM radio, and no front camera. That's all. Remember, this is very expensive gadget, and you Nokia, dont give us features which is provided by lower price gadget.
shameful, 22 Nov 2011Im sorry but i have to agree with nokiafailure.Thats shocking to boast about money on a websit... moreyou should change ur name to, I fail more than my name... since I can see your IP address your just the same person.. You changed your name to Shameful from Nokiafailure to backup your post.. hahaha u fail!
Wow, it's early days yet but i get what people are saying, it's not like people pre-order the Lumia800 and demand was sooo high that there's no stock available anywhere (instore, direct sale, internet etc). Give it time wait till the Quarter results come then will see, but having said that it's not where everyone is rushing to buy it now truthfully.
Iphone4s, Samsung GalaxyS2 and Blackeberry phone are what people in the UK are interested in, heck even the Galaxy range phones, Mini, Y, ACE.
Me i've both iphone and Android fanboy but i will always love Nokia, Personally if NOKIA release an N9532GB similar looking model slide out qwert but with a touchscreen like the BB Torch then you'll have a huge hit, 12mp Camera, Quad or Dual core, Bring back the Ngage, Ngage community, (like iphone Gamecenter) etc. Trust it might be the best selling phone...One can only dream lol.
please please please!!!
go back to meego and N9!!!!
want to see more meego in the future
look at this http://wmpoweruser.com/new-nok...its-amazing/
Do you think Nokia is dead?
TSH, 23 Nov 2011While I would agree if you were talking about the WP7 Maeketplace (apps) I can't think of any ... moretrue. if anything it looks new and stylish as opposed to the all to familiar bucket of icons interface. (win95 with touch screen like)
This analyst is bare talk and no stats, there's many sites showing that the Lumia 800 in UK is sold out in many places.
Sails, 23 Nov 2011WP7 still has a way to go to match all the features from other operating systems.
Still, i... moreWhile I would agree if you were talking about the WP7 Maeketplace (apps) I can't think of any significant OS feature that WP7.5 still lacks. In fact I'd say it's ahead on some things such as social and cloud integration.
What OS features do you think WP7 is still "far behind" on?
if you advertise all colours, then only release black people will no buy it. we are not waiting around. nokia just give up!!!!!
seems like it's actually selling out
nokiafailure, 23 Nov 2011How childish lets call phone makers names, icrap etc.How about floppia?Lets face it your so ca... moreha ha ha ... I was wondering how long it will take to respond :D
the truth is that I realy enjoy teasing iPhone owners, because they are so addicted which makes them so blind (I would say even brainwashed :D)
Let's face it: you don' like N9 because everyone (well ... almost) says that it is a piece of art (it really is, no matter of apple fans wants). And if you would read just a little about the system (meego) and the capabilities of the phone (N9) and you would make an little effort to be more objective, you'll see that this phone in particular is far from "finished"
Like I've said: 4s is a beautiful piece of hardware, with a ok body, but the OS (even it may be the best in terms of security and stability) is the most annoying one that I've ever seen (a big part on that has the apple policy); that's why is an iCrap and not an iPhone (I'll never buy one as long as the apple continues that stupid policy, no matter how good will be the phone; I'd rather buy an adroid).
As for nokia - m$ partnership, I agree with you (and most of those who make comments here): is a huge mistake, but the shareholders don't really care. So all we can do is wait for its end, and for nokia to reborn (if will can)
How childish lets call phone makers names, icrap etc.How about floppia?Lets face it your so called antique n9 is finished before it started. Its the same old thing nokia fans not admitting that there phones are out of date and nokia made the biggest mistake ever going with windows instead of androod.Im sorry if you dont like it but thats the truth and it hurts.
bongbong, 23 Nov 2011everybody likes N9 Meego. Did you mean Samsung picked up what Nokia dropped. I doubt Samsun... moremeego is an open source. everybody can get the code (that means samsung too). they just have to ask.
Nokia are the best always have been always will be, but they need to keep symbian this for me has always been the best but I suppose it all comes down to personal preference which I completely understand.
I do think imo that this Windows OS is the worst move they have made, I really cannot see this catching on the interface again imo is horrible and needs an awful lot of work to win me over.
However I will stay loyal to Nokia.
If there is anyone I think is going to fail its going to be RIM they really are lagging behind and they all look the same no innovation at all.
Anonymous, 23 Nov 2011Eh samsung picked up Meego when i dropped iteverybody likes N9 Meego. Did you mean Samsung picked up what Nokia dropped.
I doubt Samsung will get the partial codes Nokia made for Meego for free. They can't copy it. Maybe Intel codes in Meego, yes! but not Nokia.
Frankie, 23 Nov 2011The danger here is Microsoft has lured companies into unsuccessful partnerships (intentional o... morewell people do indeed buy Nokia stock for pennies now and no reasonable investor will try to play with prices having that Nokia is doomed with or without MS. If i was MS i would announce reasonable price and start buying... However much more cheaper would be to purchase licenses for Nokia patents, than buying a sinking ship. (honestly i see no other reason MS would like to buy Nokia)
nokiafailure, 23 Nov 2011Any chance i can have some of what youve been smoking?I dont think apple would have anything t... moreoh .. and btw: my beloved nokia (N9) is not doomed, not as long as I can put any app I want on it (maybe nokia is doomed with microsoft, since I've seen a lot of nokia fans like me saying that they'll never buy a windows phone, but my N9 is not)
nokiafailure, 23 Nov 2011Any chance i can have some of what youve been smoking?I dont think apple would have anything t... morenope :)
and ... nope ... :)
and again ... nope ;)
you are very wrong. it is true that the N9 hardware is kinda outdated (after all it was made to appear last year, not this one, but elop killed it in the very moment when he took the ceo chair) ... but meego rules.I also have used iCrap 4S: is a beautiful piece of hardware ... but too bad is running the most annoying OS that I ever seen; as for design ... is ok, but way below nokia's ones. Maybe you can put your glasses on now :).
As for gs2, I can't comment, because I didn't had the chance to see one yet ...
