Without Ericsson, we can expect Sony phones to be like all other Android stuff..... frequent restarts, freezing, loosing signal on frequent basis...
So, it would not be Smart"Phones", but simple, Smart"Devices".... the Phone word will not hold true to Sony anymore,,,same as Apple, Samsung, HTC etc etc etc...

I don't see any difference here. Nothing changes at all just the name. It's just the same horse but a different jockey!

The joint venture over the past few years made some great phones like the cybershots and walkmans were big hits. Hope Sony can stand alone keep up the name like they used to.

Does this mean no more Walkman phones? Can the Walkman line be considered as a feature phone?

YES!!! Only Ericsson is the one preventing Sony from updating phone specifications and OS. Now I want Sony to retain:
-the XPERIA smartphone name
-the SE logo
Things to expect from SONY:
-HD Bravia display
-better camera with Exmor R
-dual core and quad core CPU's
-always up to date phones
(these are just my expectations)

I hope they retain SE logo.
Not just the word 'SONY' logo.
I like the current logo.
