with or without app, android itself already a very handy platform to perform what you required, while iPhone needs appssssssssssss to overcome it's shortcoming

What the! the majority Apps in Appstore aren't for free, compared to Android Market, so it is so clear who will be the real $$$$$ earner. case closed.

This shows that Android has more quality free apps than Apple's crappy free apps. Apple wants you to buy but android gives it for free

Andriod market is pathetic with apps almost crashing all the time and you need to download entire post download of app.... IF compared with App store its Perfect ... and there is no comparison andriod is no way near to 10% of it from user experience prospective... and majority of people across globe will agree

What a LAME article! I will re-frame your statement in this way. Apple makes users spend more money than that of Google.
Even I've used both iOS and Android. Apps in Appstore might look good and smooth, but I don't spend money to buy Apps in Market place which makes more sense. And also, apps in Android are equally good as in iOS.

People don't realize that Android free apps are mostly themes, wallpaper, livewallpapers and free jap/chinese junk apps while most iOS free apps are real apps. You can get many paid apps on iOS for free through Appshopper.com or appadvice.com (apps) because paid apps go free from time to time to promote themselves. Like I got Sentinel 3: Homeworld for free yesterday. Zenonia 4, Paper Toss 2.0, Bejeweled Blitz, Battle Bears, Call of Mini and many others are free.

Some people are actually placing value in this garbage research? It's not even a proper sample of apps, they only choose the top 200.
And I don't know how the bullcrap result actually proves that one OS is better than another, anyone who tries to run with this information to prove any point is just as much of a short-bus window-licker as the guys who made it.
Congratulations, you've all been massively trolled.

Woah, wasn't that the implication when 60% of android apps are free and that 80% of iOS apps ain't? I thought it was a no brainer.
